Woman Is Horrified by Friend’s Sleeping Arrangements for Group Trip — 3 People in 1 Bed: ‘Am I Wrong to Back Out?'
The woman — who detailed her story on a community site — says the friend did not tell anyone about the lack of beds before booking the Airbnb

A woman says she found out she may have to share a bed with two other people or else sleep on a sofa on an upcoming group trip — and now she wants to “back out.”
The woman detailed her experience in the “Am I Being Unreasonable?” forum on the U.K.-based community site Mumsnet.com. She noted that her friend is organizing the trip and booked an Airbnb for the group — but added the friend didn’t tell anyone about the cramped sleeping arrangements
The original poster (OP) said she only discovered that there would not be enough beds for everyone when she “checked the listing” herself. She continued to state that when she asked her friend about it, the friend didn’t seem to think it was a big deal and said that some people could either sleep on a sofa or share.
The OP is now asking her fellow community members if “I am wrong to back out of going” — especially because she says her friend expects everyone to “pay the same,” even though — as the OP clarified in a later comment — some members of the group will be getting a whole bed to themselves.
Commenters were quick to sympathize with the OP, and many said that they would absolutely back out given the circumstances.
“No way would I be going! Why not book somewhere that has enough beds?” said one person.
“Yeah that would be a no from me, totally legit to back out - and actually quite considerate if it means everyone else gets a bed,” said someone else.
A number of other users encouraged the OP to be honest and upfront about the reason she is choosing not to attend.
“Tell her the truth. You are NOT being unreasonable,” said one commenter.
Another user added: “I'd be absolutely honest. Say you don't want to sleep on a sofa or share a bed. You'll fine it uncomfortable and won't sleep.”
