MEDIA-RELATED STUFF

Sure, CBC, cancel "Trickster" for ridiculous reasons, even though it had found a home in the United States. Sabotage yourselves like you always do. Just bring in an indigenous producer if you've such a bee in your bonnet.

Glad WBZ Boston was advertising Seventh Generation products.

Tuned into 88.7 My FM Napanee Thursday and Friday. I caught their 4:00 news on Friday and it sucked pretty bad. There were only three stories in the news portion and most of the cast was about COVID, of course. However, they didn't tell the listener how many active cases there were in Lennox & Addington County (17 for all of KFLA as of yesterday.)

Having said that, CJBQ's 11:00 newscast this morning wasn't much better, and I think was even worse. There was only one story in the news portion (you-know-what of course) that I can recall.

THE LOVE OF GOD

God loved us enough to send Jesus to Earth to die for our sins. We've often heard this truth quoted from John 3 16.

When we become Christians (Acts 2 38), that is a different kind of love we are entering into than that of John 3 16. To paraphrase the Christian contemporary song, we were once Jesus' enemies, but at the moment of salvation, we are now seated at His table.

Appreciating Jesus' love and receiving the offered gift of salvation by His blood is what transforms our status from eternally damned enemies of the Creator of the universe to His true friends and Him, in our eyes, from our enemy to our loving Heavenly Father and a friend that sticks closer than a brother.

THE BELIEVER'S DILEMMA

It's not getting any easier to stay in this world of the flesh that only wants to deny the truth of our purpose.

In 1988 I wrote a paper called "The Human Dilemma" and then started to seek the reason why I am here. I have since stood on the top of a mountain and walked on the floor of the ocean and the only answer is for God's purpose for my life which, looking back, I can now see the answer to my question why are we here: to learn and support God's truth, not Satan's lies.

My time here is not done yet. Only in God's timing will I be in His presence through our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ when He comes to get me when His Father's time for me is here after I learn about how the truth defends from the evil in this place of demons and lies.

God put Lucifer on Earth to ensure Lucifer's types do not come back to Him.

Removing God from our schools, government and churches allowed the darkness to overwhelm our children's lives as they became more blinded to the light that is the defense against the evil that we, the true believers, are seeing more clearly now as each day goes by.

The soul, body and spirit are created. Then through distractions and circumstances that are meant to separate the individual from God the spirit either becomes separated from God or not as they prey on the flesh, corrupt the mind and destroy the soul as the wrong choices for our children are made.

Faith leads to truth.

Being afraid of death is a death within itself.

We need to start seeing that we are God's creation, not He ours.

Doug

THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION

Biden-Harris: the re-incarnation of Barack's Obamanations: sexual insanity and abortion.

It is not getting any easier to not follow the flock that is led by deception as opposed to being on your own following the truth in reality while denying the virtual reality that is the true fear that we face.

One thing that I have in common with my blind friend is that we see the same world under the same light.

It seems that the only thing the liar has left is another lie.

If the mask does not protect us from illness then why are we wearing them as we fall deeper into the fear, hate and despair that weakens our defenses that protect us from illness and sin? We need to remove the mask to be able to begin to heal and spiritually embrace each other again as we are able to stand together again.

Our purpose is to seek the eternal truth while being distracted by the eternal death.

The devil acts by using people. The devil acts through deception. The devil acts through the mind. The devil acts through situations. The most powerful tool of the devil is the fear of what we do not understand. Our defense from the devil is the truth and the blood of Jesus Christ, as it is written, amen.

AOC and others: the unfortunate victims of an ungodly snowflake upbringing which allows fear to override reality.

The mask that we are wearing is the same Satanism that is abortion, pedophilia and gender confusion.

The only way to see the insane lies in this world is by seeking the undeniable truth of this world which is the only true light that shines in this world which is the only truth that saves us from this world that is heading into the eternal ungodly abyss.

Joe Biden: "What am I signing? Oh yeah, my name. What is it? Oh yeah, Mr. Virtual President."

RADIO-RELATED STUFF: WORLD OF RADIO 2071

Sorry about that Finnish dxer who died back on October 31 whose name I can't seem to google. I enjoyed his contributions to Glenn Hauser's "World of Radio."

Why does Dave Frantz want a new license for WWRB when a few years ago he was saying U.S. domestic shortwave didn't have a future? When I clicked on the streams just now, two were open carrier (if such a thing is possible on the internet) and the third one you couldn't play at all.

That remark on Radio Exterior de Espana about the U.S. needing to stage a domestic coup due to travel restrictions was uncalled for.

Just watched that documentary "Empire of Noise." It was informative and eye-opening but it could have been narrated better.

INTERESTING AUDIO

Two people talking, one saying it was time for bed and the other saying good night to them, then doing stuff afterword. Cat meowed at one point.

A husband and wife talking about where things were in the kitchen, including macaroni.

End of a talk, which sounded as if it took place in a library or other similar-sized space, about vegetarianism. Q and A portion followed by the speaker being asked questions informally after the lecture had ended.

The introductory tape of “Hope for the Handicapped” with Reverend Kenneth Young.

A series of classroom lectures on praise delivered at presumably a Bible college or seminary (Master's Seminary?) from I assume sometime in the late seventies or early eighties since the professor mentioned having watched "Little House on the Prairie" the previous Friday night.

A "Listen and Learn" audiotape: Dr. Harold Bloomfield "Making Peace With Your Parents."

A testimonial message delivered by Jack and Trisha Frost of Shiloh Place Ministries.

ADULT PACIFIERS

Surprisingly and interestingly, pacifiers (or soothers or dummies as they were called where I grew up) aren't just for babies or adults who do ecstasy. They have a variety of beneficial uses for many different kinds of adults as well and                  will tell you more.

MEDIA-RELATED STUFF

Really, KCPQ-TV, you start your newscast with traffic and weather?!

Really, Chek-TV, Victoria? Dr. Bonnie Henry "Made the ask" but now she "Doubled-down?" Don't broadcasters use real words anymore?

The thing about the cold, anchor-lacking news openings that City stations such as CKEM Edmonton use is that you get upwards of thirty seconds of the top story prior to all the others so you think you've gone right into the newscast when it suddenly switches to a clip from another item.

The thing about podcasts that become radio shows, such as "The Ben Shapiro Show", is that you have to hear commercials inserted in the podcast as well as the islands of commercials that sponsor the broadcast of the program.

RADIO-RELATED STUFF: CATCHING UP ON SEVENTY WEEKS WORTH OF SHORTWAVE AND OTHER RADIO NEWS

A giant boot to the head to all the media outlets who cut back live programming during the COVID-19 pandemic. You are the media; your job is to keep us informed. Kudos to Radio Romania International for following the reverse of this trend.

Sad about WCSQ-LP going off the air.

Also sad about KKAA going off the air. Seemed like not even a shadow of its former self, though, compared to how it did in the first few years of its existence.

Wonder why that Catholic network that was on mediumwave in Portugal shut down.

Glad Australia is at least sort of back on shortwave.

People say shortwave is a dead medium, which, granted, it is in most of the world, but it's astounding that there always seem to be new ones being planned or coming on the air.

Can't find a stream for CHAH 580 Edmonton.

When it comes to international, and for that matter, domestic public broadcasting, whether it's the VOA, Radio Canada International, Radio Australia, Radio New Zealand, or even the BBC, these days the medium is like two people running a three-legged race starting out in two different directions.

Private shortwave broadcasters won't do anything about continuing to air people like Brother Stair and Tony Alamo until we, the listeners, start doing something about it. For my part, might I suggest recruiting clients from the many Christians who are on YouTube, Blog Talk Radio and other platforms to replace those should-be banished false Christians.

Is Weather Radio Canada still planning to go off the air soon?

Sad to hear about the death of Noel Green in the UK. I appreciated his contributions to Glenn Hauser's "World of Radio."

Hey, CBC, rather than using Radio Canada International as a de facto third domestic service for ethnic Canadians, why don't you put third language programming on your main Radio One network, seeing as how you're always banging on about how we old stock Canadians are going to become the minority, how awesome immigration is and how poorly the Natives and Inuit have been treated. Alternatively, you could switch your second radio network, the perpetually failing CBC Music or whatever its called this week, entirely to programming in indigenous and other unofficial languages.

Emily Keene's comments on World of Radio 2068 about girls into the radio hobby shows you truly can't pigeonhole people.

If there has been more political talk on the ham bands in the last few years it is because more and more people realize there's something rotten in the state of Denmark.

MEDIA-RELATED STUFF

WTWW 5830 was coming in really well Thursday night.

Glad      internet radio is still on the air.

Book Television and Fashion Television are going off the air. Never watched either one of them and I'm astounded they lasted nearly twenty years.

NBC Sports Television is going off the air. I wonder if this means NBC Sports Radio will follow.

I found last week's episode of "Radio Lab" about loops truly interesting.

RADIO-RELATED STUFF

Glad 91x has that show "For the Record." It quite possibly could help out a lot of bands in these lean times.

Tuned into "Common Sense" with Bill O'Reilly on WABC the last couple nights. It somewhat has potential.

Listen to Radio Kantipur in Nepal.

ANOTHER BLAST FROM THE PAST

101.5 The Wolf (CKWF-FM) Peterborough from October 1992 Jay Sharp playing the tunes.

MEDIA-RELATED STUFF

Glad Scott in Florida, who used to call into Johnny Lightning, is still at it.

As far as that radio commercial for the HIV preventative is concerned, maybe you should have prepped with abstinence instead.

Hey, DW (Deutsche Welle), great hit piece on American evangelicals Saturday afternoon. One of the finest examples of smearing and yellow journalism I've ever seen.

Congratulations, Uvagut Television. You, as a private company, have managed to do something CBC hasn't accomplished in nearly seventy years.
