NASHVILLE SHOOTER'S GUN PURCHASES COULD HAVE BEEN BLOCKED AND WEREN'T

National Review

Nashville Shooter’s Gun Purchases Could Have Been Blocked, and Weren’t

By JIM GERAGHTY

March 29, 2023 10:08 AM

On the menu today: The Nashville shooter purchased seven guns from five stores before the mass shooting at a Christian school, and there is mounting evidence that those purchases could have and should have been prevented. Nashville police said the shooter had been in a “doctor’s care for an emotional disorder.” The parents of the shooter believed their daughter should not own firearms because of that emotional disorder, and believed she did not own any. Both federal and Tennessee state law ban the sale of firearms to anyone who has been adjudicated to be a threat to themselves or others. Had the parents, or the shooter’s doctor, or anyone else taken legal action to have the shooter deemed “mentally defective” under the law, she would not have been able to purchase the firearms used in the massacre.

The Nashville Shooter and the Law

You may have heard that the mass shooter in Nashville purchased the guns used in the attack legally. There is mounting evidence that the shooter should not have been able to purchase those guns legally.

Nashville police chief John Drake held a press conference Tuesday and said that the parents of the shooter told the police the shooter had been in a “doctor’s care for an emotional disorder.” The parents reportedly told police that they believed their daughter should not own guns and did not believe that she had any; they believed their child had purchased one gun and then sold it. The shooter reportedly told her parents that she had sold the firearm.

(The shooter was born a woman but chose to use male pronouns; I notice publications such as The Daily Beast are referring to the shooter as a “daughter” and then using the pronoun “he” in the same article. For simplicity and clarity’s sake, I am sticking to female pronouns.)

The police chief did not elaborate on the emotional disorder, which doctor was providing the shooter care, or whether the shooter was on any medication. It is chillingly clear in retrospect that the shooter should have been institutionalized, or at minimum, legally ruled a potential threat to herself or others.

Drake said his department would’ve tried to take the shooter’s guns away if officers had caught wind of her intentions, but, “As it stands, we had absolutely no idea who this person was.”

Under federal law, it is illegal for “any person to sell or otherwise dispose of any firearm or ammunition to any person knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that such person, including as a juvenile” who has “been adjudicated as a mental defective or has been committed to any mental institution at 16 years of age or older.”

“Mental defective” is a term you don’t hear often anymore, and some may find it offensive, but under federal law, it has a specific meaning: a finding by any court, board, commission, or other lawful authority that a person “is a danger to himself or to others; or lacks the mental capacity to contract or manage his own affairs,” as a result of “marked subnormal intelligence, or mental illness, incompetency, condition, or disease.”

The Nashville shooter was, indisputably, a danger to others, and that threat to others was almost certainly connected to her mental illness. The evidence was there for her to be declared legally mentally defective and barred from owning firearms. The shooter’s parents believed she should not be allowed to own a firearm, indicating the shooter had said or done things that made her parents believe she was a potential threat to herself or others. But no one acted upon those concerns, and no one reached out to police.

Tennessee does not have a “red flag” law that would allow police to seize the firearms of individuals that are at elevated risk of harming themselves or others. However, under Tennessee law, anyone who has been deemed “mental defective” cannot purchase a firearm in the first place.

Under Tennessee law, only an applicant who has not been “judicially committed to or hospitalized in a mental institution . . . has not had a court appoint a conservator for the applicant by reason of a mental defect, has not been judicially determined to be disabled by reason of mental illness, developmental disability or other mental incapacity, and has not, within seven years from the date of application, been found by a court to pose an immediate substantial likelihood of serious harm” may be granted a handgun-carry permit. Tennessee law also requires all relevant information in the adjudication of a mental defective to be turned over to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System.

You can argue that Tennessee should have a “red flag” law, but those laws only work if a concerned person goes to law enforcement and says, “I am afraid this person is a threat to themselves or others, and you must act to remove their firearms.” The process also usually requires convincing a judge. Alas, far too few people take those steps, apparently convincing themselves that the person they are concerned about will just get better on his or her own.

As of late last year, 19 states and the District of Columbia had red-flag laws; an Associated Press review found that, “Many U.S. states barely use the red flag laws.” In Chicago, “Amid more than 8,500 shootings resulting in 1,800 deaths since 2020, the law was used there just four times.”

As with every other mass shooting, many on the left side of the aisle will insist that horrors such as the one in Nashville could be avoided by passing by more gun-control laws. But a law is only as effective as its enforcement.

This morning, the Washington Post investigates why federal prosecutors in the District’s U.S. attorney’s office “chose not to prosecute 67 percent of those arrested by police officers in cases that would have been tried in D.C. Superior Court.” That is up from 35 percent in 2017, and much, much higher than other large cities in the United States.

Matthew M. Graves, the Biden-appointed U.S. attorney for D.C., told the Post that his office is prioritizing violent crimes, and “declinations are mostly coming after arrests in cases such as gun possession, drug possession and burglaries.”

This suggests that the actual enforcement of laws against illegal gun possession does not align with the rhetoric surrounding these laws. None of the traditional excuses apply here. This is a Biden-appointed prosecutor in a city where Biden beat Trump, 92 percent to 5 percent. Effectively, there are no Republicans in the District of Columbia. It is very difficult to believe that Graves is insufficiently motivated to prosecute illegal-gun-possession cases or has any ideological reluctance to enforce the district’s existing gun laws. He was assistant U.S. attorney in the district from 2007 to 2016. Democratic House delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton recommended Graves to Biden. He is not afraid of losing the endorsement of the National Rifle Association. There is no significant movement within D.C. arguing against enforcement of gun laws.

I hate writing about mass shootings for many reasons, but one big reason is that the story is almost always the same. A young person — usually a man, but as we see in Nashville, the YouTube headquarters shooting, and the Goleta postal-facility mass shooting, there are exceptions — is angry at the world. Oftentimes they have psychiatric, mental, or emotional problems, sometimes formally diagnosed and treated, often just noticed or suspected by others. The shooters face problems in their lives, but their problems are fairly mundane, not all that different from the problems everyone else faces: stress from school or work, bullying, a sense of isolation. They are often “grievance collectors,” to use the term of Willard Gaylin, one of the world’s preeminent psychology professors. They cannot see any good in their lives, or any blessings to count. They fixate on how they have been wronged and how life has been unfair to them, and they nurture a rage over their perceived victimization.

These individuals almost never have a terrific support network, but they do have at least a few people who care and worry about them. In interviews after the shooting, the family members, neighbors, classmates, and acquaintances often describe genuinely disturbing behavior that probably warranted a call to police. The shooter’s social-media feed often features them with guns, images of violence, and all kinds of nightmarish images of rage and retribution. Oftentimes, particularly in school shootings, the perpetrator will have developed an interest or obsession with the shooters at Columbine. In a disturbing number of cases, the shooter was “known to law enforcement” because of some sort of minor criminal behavior that may or may not have been prosecuted. Sometimes, there are past suicide attempts. Quite a few times, fellow students or co-workers have gone to a teacher, principal, college or university administrator, or company HR office to complain about the person’s behavior or threats.

Perhaps one of the reasons these shooters commit these heinous and abominable acts is because they feel their lives are too mundane, and that dying in a horrific act of violence will somehow make them stand out or become special. The irony is that being a mass shooter isn’t all that rare or unique anymore.

AH: This story makes me think there is more to this whole affair than even the mainstream conservative media is telling the public. I wonder who this person was working for?

Red flag laws are a terrible idea as they presume guilt.

The Biden administration is prioritizing violent crime. Its just their goal is to make it more common. Order out of chaos, after all.

COULD TRANS ACTIVIST GROUP HAVE HELPED TO PROVOKE NASHVILLE TRANSGENDER MASS SHOOTER?

‘Hate Has Consequences’: Trans Activist Group Mourns Death of Mass Shooter

By ARI BLAFF

March 29, 2023 8:47 PM

The Trans Resistance Network mourned the death of Audrey Hale, the mass shooter responsible for the deaths of six people, including three children, at a Christian private elementary school in Nashville.

The group, which describes its mission as defending “the long-term survival and well-being of gender diverse people in a more extreme environment,” released an official statement on Monday insisting that “today’s incident in Nashville, TN is not one tragedy by two.”

“The first tragedy is the loss of life of three children and adults,” the self-described collective wrote.

“The second and more complex tragedy is that Aiden or Audrey Hale, who felt he had no other effective way to be seen than to lash out by taking the life of others, and by consequence, himself.”

“We do not claim to know the individual or have access to their inner thoughts and feelings. We do know that life for transgender people is very difficult, and made more difficult in the preceding months by a virtual avalanche of anti-trans legislation, and public callouts by Right Wing personalities and political figures for nothing less than the genocidal eradication of trans people from society,” the collective noted.

“All of these factors contribute to a population that is medically under-served and who often face anti-trans bias while accessing care leading to significant physical and mental health disparities. Hate has consequences,” the group warned near the bottom of the news release.

The services offered by the Trans Resistance Network include relocating people “to a safer state” and providing “access [to] care out of state.” The group also has a protected social-media account with over 3,000 followers.

Earlier this month, the group made a similar call to action, which investigative journalist Andy Ngo revealed.

“Cis-gendered people are OFFICIALLY INVITED to do literally ANYTHING to oppose trans genocide,” a tweet from March 4 reads.

Representative Andy Ogles (R., Tenn.), who represents the district where the attack to place, condemned the statement.

“Any attempt to turn a mass murderer into a martyr is beyond disturbing,” the Tennessee representative told Fox News Digital. “The notion that someone would try to justify this atrocity disgusts me to my core.”

“March 27, 2023, was not a dual tragedy as this radical group wrote. It was a targeted attack on children attending a Christian school, perpetrated by a hate-filled domestic terrorist. There is no place for accepting or justifying the actions of The Covenant School shooter.”

WHITNEY WEBB ON GLEN BECK

This podcast will tell you a lot about how the world really works and the future those who run it have in store for us.

I would personally caution Whitney and Glen on something, however. Develop a true relationship with Jesus Christ before its too late. God is a personal being who cares what we do and whom we "love." There is nothing ultimately good in humanity. Rather, the only One who was ever truly good came to Earth, died for humanity's sins and rose from the grave three days later, proving the authenticity of His sacrifice.

Begin a relationship with God now (Acts 2 38) or one of two things will happen. You will readily accept the AI thought control mark of the beast along with everybody else because you have no one else to look to for your health, safety and welfare; or you will end up rebelling against Christ after having lived in His near perfect world for  a thousand years and be in Hell for eternity.

SESAME STREET INTRODUCES TODD, A WHITE MALE MUPPET WHO IS BLAMED FOR EVERYTHING

Sesame Street Introduces 'Todd', A White Male Muppet Who Is Blamed For Everything | Babylon Bee

QUEENS, NY - In a courageous new episode of Sesame Street, the puppets teach kids about social justice by introducing a new character, Todd-- a white male puppet who is blamed for everything wrong in the world.

Minutes into the episode, Todd is introducing himself to the other puppets and a prescriptively diverse cast of guest children, when he is confronted by Grover about Todd's culpability regarding a distant ancestor who fought for the Confederacy.

Later on, Todd works alongside the puppet Abby Cadabby to stock the shelves of Hooper's store with Goya beans. His accidental revelation that he gets paid 30% more than her leads to Abby singing a tearful rendition of 'Workforce Woes.'

The episode's final sketch portrays Todd selling cookies without the requisite health warning labels, forcing Cookie Monster into obesity and skyrocketing healthcare costs.

In an upcoming episode entitled "R is for Racism", Todd appears in multiple educational scenarios-- including a math teacher forcing minority puppets to learn 2 + 2 = 4, and an ignorant puppet who thinks some cops might be good.

In a particularly jarring sketch, Todd is caught teaching kids to face life's unfairness with hard work, self-sacrifice, and hope for the future.

A.I.: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Why oh why does Spielberg have the reputation he does.

I'm sorry I dumped on Andrew Wommack's Christmas movie for trying to get three movies into one since this 2001 release tries to get in four.

First, there is the adaptation of the three Brian Aldis stories upon which the film is based. The movie isn't too bad at this point and expands on the plot and changes some things for the better. However, since the same problem with Aldis's work confronted Steven Spielberg as it did Stanley Kubrick, namely Aldis's not being able to come up with enough material for a film, Spielberg breaks off the first plot to start a second one partway through.

This second plot is that of the flesh fairs, though I personally think David living in throwaway town and then being rescued by Henry after Henry's virtual reality world as well as his real one have gone to pot would have worked much better. This was the plot of Aldis's third story about David, "Supertoys in All Seasons." We have never heard of the flesh fairs and the conflict between humans who are fully embracing the technologies of this world and the new Ludites so why introduce it now.

However, the second plot doesn't pan out either so Spielberg has to introduce a third plot along the lines of Pinocchio, something Brian Aldis did not want. Also, who thought it was a good idea to pair an artificial five year old boy with a sex bot?

Spielberg could have ended the movie after the petering out of the Pinocchio plot, but instead he extended the film by half an hour and introduced some fourth plot about a world 2000 years in the future that has been colonized by aliens. These aliens have expended great effort on trying to bring back humans from the dead but to no avail. It is generally not a good idea to resurrect the people you have supplanted. They died, you survived: give yourselves a pat on the back and go on with building your civilization in the place we once called home.

AMERICA IS A TRAIN WRECK!

America IS A Train Wreck!

Remnant, America is a MESS! Everyone knows it. Even a recent 2022 Gallup poll shows that only 17% of Americans are satisfied with the direction America

is headed.

The highest inflation in 40 years hasn’t backed off any. Crime continues to grow and rise in every area of the country, and in every aspect, from murder

to car-jackings to robbery, it just gets worse every day. The national debt is ever-increasing, at over $31 TRILLION and growing daily, including well

over $1 TRILLION owed to China.

We may have run away from Afghanistan, but our entanglements (that we were warned about) and  involvements in the growing foreign war in the Ukraine is

set to explode. We’ve recently quadrupled our military presence in Taiwan, and how long will it be until our sons and daughters are drafted to go fight

in the

Racket

 that modern-day war is?

And our morality, or more accurately, the lack of it, in this once-Christian nation, has all but disappeared from our society today.

Today it seems that it is, “anything goes,” from cross-dressing homosexuals teaching and brainwashing our children, to criminals rights being much more

important than ours, with too-many politicians fighting to take away our means of defending ourselves.

We see our Constitution, and our very way of life here in America, being wiped out and   destroyed, and  replaced with an insane fantasy where good is

called evil, and evil is worshipped.

We are doomed if we DO NOT LEARN FROM OUR HISTORY! We have forgotten what our Founding Fathers told us, and many have forgotten what our LORD and Savior

Jesus Christ told us as well.

And He said to him, YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ This is the great

and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’                                                             Matthew

22:37-39 NASB

Like it or not, believe it or not, the Scriptures, the WORD, the Bible, in Leviticus Chapter 26 and Deuteronomy 28, as well as many other places,

warns us of EXACTLY what is happening today in our land. Example of obedience or disobedience, and the results of what would happen to TRUE Israel, to

God’s people, is what we read there, and what we are living today here in this new Jer-USA-lem. Blessings for  obedience to God’s WORD, and curses for

ignoring it; curses from God in our lives, in our land, in our Nation.

The recent train-wreck in Ohio is symbolic of the state of our Nation, whether the masses see it or not, whether they realize it or not.

On February 3, 2023, around 8:54 pm, a freight train carrying vinyl chloride, butyl acrylate, ethylhexyl acrylate and ethylene glycol monobutyl ether derailed

along the Norfolk Southern Railway in East Palestine, Ohio, United States. 38 cars derailed, of the 141-car train, that stretched 2 miles long

On February 5, The Governor was warned that a catastrophic tanker failure could cause an explosion with shrapnel traveling up to a mile, so they decided

to vent the vinyl chloride and burn it off.

The fumes wafted over the town’s 4,700 residents, causing immediate headaches and nausea.

On February 12, the EPA posted a list of the hazardous chemicals that leaked from the train.

On February 14, state and federal officials reported that a plume of the butyl acetate DID reach the Ohio River, but that it doesn’t pose a hazard to the

drinking water.

Roughly 3,500 fish spanning 12 common species died in creeks near East Palestine, but in a Feb. 14 news conference, Mary Mertz, director of the Ohio Department

of Natural Resources, said there doesn't appear to have been an increase in the number of fish or aquatic animals killed since the first few days after

the derailment.

The Ohio train derailment contaminated at least 15,000 pounds of soil and 1.1 million gallons of water, Norfolk Southern says.

Norfolk Southern, the railway company in charge of the 151-car train that derailed in Ohio, said on Monday that thousands of pounds of soil

and water have been removed from the site of the crash due to "

substantial contamination."

The update comes more than two weeks after the train derailed in East Palestine, causing significant concern about the hazardous materials that

were on board.

The 38 derailed train cars were carrying substances including

vinyl chloride,

butyl acrylate, ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, ethylhexyl acrylate and isobutylene – all materials that are

widely considered to be toxic

and that could have damaging effects to both humans and the environment.

On Monday, February 20, Norfolk Southern said that 15,000 pounds of soil and 1.1 million gallons of water have been removed from the area because of contamination.

In their press release, the company did not specify which of the hazardous materials were found in the water and soil.

**Following are just a FEW of many numerous articles on several different aspects of this most-recent train wreck in East Palestine, Ohio. Just as there

are many aspects to the MESS this country finds itself in, there are many aspects regarding the cause, background, reasonings, polluting and results of

this disaster in Ohio. We wanted to share this  information with you, even though this is just the tip-of-the-iceberg (so to speak), regarding this multi-faceted

and NOT coincidental recent disaster in Ohio.

We read of our current state of affairs, and why we are facing it, way back in Isaiah 30.

...calamity will come upon you suddenly— like a bulging wall that bursts and falls. In an instant it will collapse and come crashing down. You

will be smashed like a piece of pottery— shattered so completely that there won’t be a piece big enough to carry coals from a fireplace or a little water

from the well. This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness

and confidence is your strength.

But you would have none of it.

‘Yesterday morning when I came across this news article published by NOAA it had the two HYSPLIT models in the article below the picture of

Now, you have the story behind those TWO NOAA    CENSORED PICTURES circulating around the web…

And have another INDICATION THAT YOUR GOVERNMENT IS NOT WORKING FOR YOU AND IS LYING TO YOU!

There Is Fire In Our Crowded Theater

250 million people live east of the Mississippi. Two million gallons of vinyl chloride might have something to say about that.

Up to two and a half million gallons of one of the most toxic substances known to man have been released into the air, water and soil of the

Eastern Seaboard, and are presently  making their way south and east. Acid rain, which in this case is hydrochloric acid mixed with concentrated, unburned

vinyl chloride, has (so far) been reported in every direction:

West: 400 miles west to

Lafayette

 (probably further)

North:

1200 miles north up to Durham,

Canada;

East: 1200 miles east to

NYC

 and

Boston

today

more

South: 800 miles southwest to

Kentucky

so far…

Vinyl chloride is water-soluble, takes months to degrade in soil or water (the Camp Lejeune spill was just a few thousand gallons), boils at

8F, and its

metabolites absolutely maul DNA:

safe exposures are considered to be in the

parts per billion

(“Standards”), and we’re talking about parts per million exposure likely coming for everybody east of the Mississippi.

There will likely be some isolated parts of the eastern United States that escape contamination. However, I sure as h#*@ would not want to wait

around to find out which ones will be passed over.

There are 250 million people living to the east of the Mississippi River, and considering the rate at which it is progressively moving south

with the water and east on the winds, every single person on the entire eastern seaboard may have only a few more days to leave before they are exposed

to a lethal concentration of vinyl chloride. Everybody in the areas which have received acid rain have already been exposed, and will likely develop extensive

cancers over the coming few months. I will just say:

If you live anywhere east of the Mississippi River – in my humble opinion – LEAVE.

Maybe plan to come back in a couple of weeks; the magnitude of this will be more evident by that time. We have been at war for the last three years, and

somebody may have just landed the killing blow with an utterly, historically unprecedented chemical weapons attack.

I’ve waited as long as I can, in good conscience, to gather evidence and to write this. I fully understand what I’m saying, and that 99% of people either

can’t leave, or want to wait for more information, or just generally refuse to believe something of this scale could ever happen here. Not to mention that

there’s absolutely no way this article will reach everybody that needs to hear it. I can scarcely believe I’m writing this, and I have been praying to

be wrong. I really, really hope that I am wrong, but I do not think so. The authorities sure aren’t going to tell us the truth about any of it.

So, for those of you who are inclined to take it seriously, or aren’t quite sure yet, read on for the data and events thus far, share this with anybody

you care about, and if you are in the  affected area; that is, anywhere east of the Mississippi; LEAVE.

Or, don’t – I’m not your mother. Time is short. I hope I’m wrong.

Below, an unrelated photo of an area devastated by chemical acid rain. It hasn’t been quite long enough to do this everywhere that’s been affected. Yet…
