MORE CHRISTIAN BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS

15 Reasons to Take Genesis as History by Drs. Don Batten and Jonathan Sarfati: This pamphlet from Creation Ministries International provides, in a concise manner, an ample foundation as to why a literal interpretation of the Book of Genesis is the correct one.

Famines and Face Packs by Emma Stratton: True story of a young woman who volunteered in Sudan and the former Yugoslavia with a Christian organization. The title comes from the author's experience that, even when dealing with the very real horrors of war and its aftermath, there was still joy and fun to be had in its midst.

Frida: chosen to die, destined to live by Frida Gashumba: Autobiography of a woman who survived being beaten and buried alive during the Rwandan genocide and her life of faith afterword.

He Never Said by Steve Chalke: Presents common sayings in our culture and contrasts them with the truth of God's Word.

He Still Moves Stones by Max Lucado: Examines instances in the Gospels where Jesus dealt with people where they were, in the midst of their real life situations and shows how relevant these stories still are today.

Heaven's Calling by Leanne Payne: This woman's autobiography was one of the most insightful Christian books I've ever read. You could read it five times before you fully grasped what she was trying to say. It reads more like a book on theology than a memoir.

Hebrews for Everyone by Tom Wright: A very good and quite readable commentary on the Book of Hebrews.

Held Hostage by Ken Cooper: Autobiography of a former bank robber who found faith in prison and the miracles and blessings he experienced on the inside and after he was released.

Hell's Angel by Brian Greenaway and Brian Kellock: Autobiography of a former British member of the Hell's Angels and his journey of faith.

How God Became King by Tom Wright: Provides insight into God, His Word and His working on Earth that will be new to many readers. Wright harmonizes both the Old and New Testaments, highlights the importance of the recorded incidents in Jesus' life during the three and a half years of His ministry and shows God's kingdom is present and active in the world today.

I Once was a Buddhist Nun by Esther Baker: Autobiography of a white woman who became a Buddhist nun and then became a Christian. This book illustrates Buddhism's detrimental effects on the human mind and body and how God truly does reach people in a miraculous way.

Many Adventures Followed by Roger Young: Story of a former pilot in Papua New Guinea. This book tells of many miraculous incidents that occurred in the life of the author and his family.
