Balanced, informative and horrifying.

The author, as she says in the subtitle, relates the history of black people being subjected to medical experiments since colonial America. Regardless of background, everyone should read this book to learn some things which need to be learnt.

One thing I really appreciated was how balanced Washington was in her overall approach.
