PROVERBS 26

Proverbs 26

v1: Don't give someone credit for something they never did.

v2:  Christians should not be superstitious. You can't bring a curse or bad luck or bad karma or whatever on yourself or others simply by committing an arbitrary action. We have a real God with whom we hae a real relationship who understands and responds to what we say.

v3: Sometimes a fool needs a stern talking to.

v4-5: For example, "Let's say for the sake of argument you're right. Well, by your own argument, you aren't right, and here's the actual line of thinking that makes sense."

v10: As Jesus said, God causes the ses it to rain on both the just and the unjust.

v11: This reminds me of Peters words.

v13: A repetition of an earlier proverb.

v17: Like grabbing a dog by the ears, meddling will only end up biting you in the end.

v18-19: Sometimes pranks can be very harmful, even deadly.

v20: It's so much more pleasant to be with people who don't gossip and talk smack about other people than around those who do.

v21: Some people just get off on starting arguments with others.

v22: Just like pranks, gossip can also be immensely harmful, even deadly.

v28: People who lie and kiss up to others don't care about the harm their sins will eventually cause their victims.
