SIX SIGNS YOU'RE IN A GOOD CHURCH

In the previous essay I spoke of when it's time to leave the church you attend, now it's time to talk about the other side of the coin.

1  The pastor is reasonable and approachable- You can go to him/her about any issue you may have with the sermon, the music, and any ideas you have, and he/she will look in to it.

2  You have made friends- You don't necessarily know everyone, but you have some people you can and do call upon just to chat or pray.

3  The sermons grab your attention- Your pastor knows just the right blend of humor, Biblical truths, and relatibility to preach what you have been thirsty for.

4 They make you feel at home- You knew when you got there you were part of the family, because you were immediately invited to assist with the youth group fund raiser to go to a rally in Florida.

5  They have activities outside the church- You really enjoyed that time you and some of the other members went on a hike for Bible study.

6   They don't rely on attractional techniques- Yes you will admit that a sermon series by a well known pastor got rears in pews, but because it was substance based and not too flashy some have actually stayed.
