HOLY HOMOSEXUALITY, BATMAN

Sometimes I get these weird thoughts in my head about what certain movies and TV shows would look like if they first aired in today's world.

Bat Man- Starting out as a comic book in 1939 Batman AKA the caped crusader was a comic book about an orphaned millionaire and his far younger side kick Robin.  During the Golden age of comics 1939-1955 conservatives were concerned as they should be that Batman was a homosexual.  What they did was closet him by showing him with beautiful girls on his arm.  In the 1960's a campy TV version kept The Crusader in the closet.

What if it was shown today?  What would it look like?

Now- It would look something like this, Batman and Robin would probably be married, and have adopted some willing sucker.  Also because the public likes things dark, the show would probably have to deal with the consequences of their unnatural relationship.

Full House- There's a lot going on with this one!  In the late 1980's TV shows, especially ones geared to families were pretty straight forward.  They tackled heavier subjects in "very Special episodes` Then along came full house, or as I refer to it one long very special episode.  The three male characters  Danny Tanner a widower with three children, Jessi Danny's late Wife's sister, and Joey a long time friend all lived together in an ironically San Fransisco home.  What could be wrong with that?  Each character plays a homosexual archetype, you never see Danny with a regular girlfriend, Jessi's focused on being man pretty, and Joey's that relative you see at the family reunion who just never grew up.

What if they showed it today?

I honestly think Jessi, the one always more concerned with his image would probably be in transition, Joey might have a taste for younger boys, and Danny would have that close female friend most homosexuals have to be a de facto mom to the girls.
