MUSICAL WANDERINGS: IF IT'S NOT LIVE IT TENDS NOT TO BE AS ALIVE

The killer whale tank version of the Hip's "New Orleans is Sinking" ranks up there among the truly great live performances.

Watched a 1982 concert by Robby Krieger recently. Not much in the way of vocals for some reason but the former Door and his band had no problem rocking all the same.

Also watched a concert from around the same time by The Powder Blues Band, the guys who did "Doing it Right on the Wrong Side of Town." It rocked my socks off, too.
