I don't agree with the lyrics, but I like Jack Carlow "Lovin on Me." It hearkens back to the pop music of my youth where the songs had good beats and hooks that stuck in your head.
I notice that many of today's pop songs are not afraid to take on subjects more diverse than simply being in or out of love.
There are a fair number of talented female pop singers these days, too, better than the ones we had when I was a teenager.
Wouldn't mind going to see The Beaches at Empire Rock Fest July 19 if the price is right.
