MADOC'S OPEN MIC THIS FRIDAY DEC 29 AT THE LEGION

Dear Friends:
Time to wrap up our first year of Madoc's Open Mic. We began January 6 at the 7/62 Craft Brewery and moved in June to our present home at the Madoc Royal Canadian Legion Branch 363 in June 2023. It's been a great year!! Many wonderful performers have shared their music with us and we still are seeing new people - just about every time. As well as welcome old friends and our indispensable regulars - who show up and make it all worthwhile! :D Thank you to all of you!!
The Madoc Legion has been a welcoming venue to develop an Open Mic: Thank you to Tim Clark and Paul West for taking us on. Thank you to the members of the Legion who made us feel welcome right from the beginning - signing us in the first time we went in there, teaching us the ropes, helping us set up and to advertise on Facebook and elsewhere, coming in to hear the music - and share some of their own! (: I really appreciate all of you!! And then there is Tracey on the bar who is responsible for the welcoming atmosphere with her own positive, FUN and generally fantastic skills at keeping everything running smoothly and everybody feeling good. Thank you Tracey, for all you do!!

So this Friday is the final Madoc's Open Mic for 2023. I'm looking forward to whatever happens Friday! I'm sure it will be good.(: It will be a GREAT opportunity to practice for your NYE gig!!

As always, we have 2 mics (and mic covers) and stands, a music stand, 2 monitors, a PA system with Todd Olmstead on the sound board and SOMETIMES musicians willing to back you up - let me know if you are one of them. (: It's always up to the individual musician/act if you want back up.

Looking forward to seeing you!! Hearing rumours of musicians and audience planning to come!! :D See you there.

AS WELL - and a completely separate event - Dec.31 is the Madoc Legion New Years Eve Party with Donkey with Alex Radeff from Toronto playing.
