MEDIA-RELATED STUFF: OBSERVATIONS AND THOUGHTS FROM THE WEEK AFTER LABOUR DAY

Global News anchor Farah Nasser swallowed a fly during a recent newscast. At least we don't have to worry about her swallowing a pig to catch it.

And so it begins: I just saw a commercial on YouTube that used the phrase "this holiday season."

It appears the channel 2 analog transmitter for Global Toronto has been turned off, thus rendering my 31 year old portable TV utterly useless.

Boy, Omar Sachedina and Nil Koksal are sure having a heck of a first week at their new jobs, eh?

Noticed tonight WHAS Louisville now broadcasts a repeat of "Coast to Coast" in place of "Ground Zero" with Clyde Lewis. That guy seems to be losing a lot of affiliates.

Cool to hear Sportsnet Radio the Fan 590 mentioned on ESPN (WKNR Cleveland specifically.)
