Probably the real reason, or at least another reason, the CRTC isn't issuing new radio licenses for the next two years is because, in the last two months, eight radio stations have gone off the air because they can't make a go of it, two more may go off the air if they don't receive more funding, and one might go off the air for lack of volunteers.
