For a while on May 2, WEPN New York was blowing TSN 1050 away completely.
That Virgin Plus commercial with the daughter who won't stop playing games online is terrible. Yes, let's do even more to encourage kids not to play outside.
Another reason why radio is dying: one sports team is on multiple radio stations. I was going to tune into the second Leafs game in round two of the playoffs but it wasn't on TSN 1050, the station on which I had caught the first game two days previously. Come to find out the next day that the game was to have aired on the Fan 590 but instead aired on CITY News 680 due to a scheduling conflict. I see why many members of Leafs nation would get the app or tune in online instead.
Tonight, at 6:00, CBC Radio broadcast "The World This Hour" followed by a couple minutes dead air before "The World This Weekend" was joined in progress.
