The movie was good for what it was, but I prefer Scott Anderson's novel. It delves a lot more into the daily, inner and past lives of the characters. I dislike how the movie removed the Carlos Perez plot point. Additionally, the book had a much better ending, whereas the ending of the movie seemed corny and tacked on by comparison.
