RADIO-RELATED STUFF

Farewell to Irish Paul, regular caller to the Wolf Peterborough's All Request Saturday Night who is moving away from the Wolf's territory.

More veterans gone from CBC Radio.

Both iterations of Flow 93 didn't last; does anyone expect Flow 98 will?

The new format on 93.5 Toronto sure sounds like it has a wide playlist. Hope the rest of the station manages to sound good as they've got what appears to be a double-duty anncr in one day part and a repeat of an Alberta morning show in evenings.

Happy thirtieth anniversary to the Wolf Peterborough, from skating at the rink in public school to listening to "The Alternate Route" in high school to enjoying the "All Request Saturday Night" in my thirties.

Didn't realize this year is also the seventy-fifth anniversary of CKWF-FM itself, which went on the air as CHEX-FM in 1947.

Got to hand it to them: the automated line-up on this Saturday night on the Wolf sans live requests was better than it usually is on the "All Request Saturday Night."

Sad to learn of the death of long-time Toronto broadcaster, including host of "Bill's Classical Jukebox" on Classical FM, Bill Anderson.

CBC news people, why can't you pronounce the name of the capital of Ukraine correctly. It is not monosyllabic.

Have a friend who has recently gotten into amateur radio and medium wave DXing. Happy to help him with identifying the call letters of AM stations, however meager my assistance may be.

Sure, CBC, celebrate Valentine's Day on "Marvin's Room" with a show full of songs about adultery.

Glad Sideshow has landed at 96.3 Big FM Kingston.

Moose FM Bancroft has real variety in their music, unlike Mix 97 and 95.5 Belleville whose approach seems to be throw it at the wall.
