This is a chunk of Steve Allen's syndicated show from January 23, 1964, with a guest who worked for the department in NASA in charge of creating food for astronauts to eat in space.
I wonder if this would be considered too cerebral for today's TV, even including Allen and his pals jokey-jokeness.
The commercials are interesting.
There is the beginning of that same coffee commercial aired during Johnny Carson a year earlier.
Only the audio exists in this recording. It would have been great to have the video as well, but of course there was no way for the average person to accomplish that back then.
