Couple Says They Were 'Super Unprepared' for Their Stay in Glass Hotel Room: 'Completely Vulnerable'

An adventurous couple stayed in a glass hotel room in Ibiza — but say they were completely "unprepared" for the unconventional experience.

In a video shared on the TikTok account A Pretty Cool Hotel Tour, Margaret Bienert explained the avant-garde room setup alongside footage of her and her husband, Corey Bienert, from their stay at the Paradiso Hotel a couple of years ago.

"When I say glass box hotel room, I mean a literal glass box in the lobby of the hotel. We were super unprepared for the experience," she said, before sharing that she had little idea what to expect when they arrived.

"All I knew going into this was that when you book it, you can stay for free for one night, and I thought it was such a funny idea so of course I wanted to try it," Margaret continued.

In the video footage, Margaret and Corey can be seen lying in bed inside the room, as other hotel guests walked around and hung out in the lobby surrounding the glass room.

The pair quickly discovered some less-than-ideal features to the room. "We found out the lights never turn off and you're basically on display all night long," Margaret said, as the video showed a guest using his phone to take a photo of them trying to sleep in their room.

"Then I realized this is an art hotel, so whoever is sleeping in that room for the night is just part of the night," she continued, before sharing her advice for anyone looking to experience their own stay in the glass room.

"Here are a couple of ideas I wish I had prepared for last time to entertain the guests, instead of just feeling completely vulnerable in there all night," Margaret said.

Her entertainment ideas included performing Taylor Swift's entire Eras Tour setlist, doing a live painting and displaying a sign saying she would kiss anyone through the glass for a $5 payment.

"Either way, it just feels like there is so much room for creativity in this room — unfortunately, I was just unprepared," she concluded the video, which has racked up nearly 2 million views. "So I have to leave it up to a future guest to do one or two of these things so yeah, let me know if you try it."

In the comments of the post, it appeared that very few of the couple's followers were ready to jump at the chance to stay in the glass room. Many seemed put off by what one person described as the "dystopian" aspect of the glass room.

"I had a nightmare like this one," another person quipped, while someone else echoed the same sentiment, writing, "I would scream the whole time."

Some viewers had pressing questions for Margaret, such as: "Does the hotel have restrictions on what you can't do while in the room?" to which she answered, "Ya know, we weren't given any rules. And it is an adults only hotel 🤷‍♀️."

Margaret addressed other much-asked questions in a follow-up video, assuring her followers that you do get a private bathroom — complete with a shower and a toilet — when staying in the glass room.

She also clarified that the room was not fully soundproof, so not only could other guests hear her and Corey in their room but they could hear all of the lobby noise from inside.

"So you definitely need ear plugs, eye mask, all of that," Margaret recommended.
