v1: Unlike with the gods of all the other religions, you can cry out to the God of the Bible.
v2: In this world, it's very difficult much of the time to find people who truly want to hear about your problems, but God is always willing and ready with a listening ear.
v3: David felt as though his heart was melting within him, but God knew what the psalmist was going through.
v4-5: God really was David's safe space, and He is the only safety anyone of us actually has.
v6: God is our protector and deliverer from anyone or anything which is bigger than us, which, as human beings, is most things. He is our Heavenly Father and Jesus is our big brother, as well as a friend that sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18 24
v7: David isn't asking for deliverance for the sake of his own self. He wants out of his current situation so he can praise God along with his fellow believers and they can together recognize all God's many blessings.
