PARODY TIME-THINGS I HAVE TO TELL YOU

THINGS I HAVE TO TELL YOU

Open on a high school cafeteria. A female art teacher stands at the front behind a podium. A few students sit at nearby tables.

Art Teacher: Well welcome to poetry night. I’m quite excited to be the mc of this first-time event. Tonight, we’re going to hear poetry specifically written by our female students. (Looks at list) Our first reader will be Teek. Step up to the mic, Teek.

(Teek approaches the microphone, pulls out a piece of paper and begins to read.)

Teek: This poem is called “Me Saying Stuff.”

I’m saying stuff

Like why conform to what white society wants,

Let’s conform to

What black society wants instead.

Let’s do that

Even though what we think of black culture in this country

Has nothing to do with traditional African culture or values.

Let’s just put ourselves in another box

Make everything about race and oppression,

Not think for ourselves

And be swept along with the tide out to sea instead.

(Teek returns to her seat.)

Art Teacher: Very good. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anything so outside of the box. Our next reader will be Marion.

(Marion steps to the mic and reads.)

Marion: This poem is called “I am the Best-looking Woman in the World.”

Man, I really am

The best-looking woman in the world.

I mean, wow!

There really is no woman on this planet

More beautiful than me.

I just had to write this poem

Because if I don’t constantly tell myself

As well as everyone else

How stunning I look

Then who will?

(Marion returns to her seat.)

Art Teacher: Very good, Marion. You’ve no idea how rare and gratifying it is to encounter a girl with your healthy level of self-esteem. Our next reader will be Xiang.

(Xiang steps to the mic and reads.)

Xiang: This poem is called “I May be Female but I’m Just Like a Man.”

I admire all the transgender superheroes

And other characters out there

Because, and I want to make this abundantly clear,

I am not trans at all,

Though I am, was and will always be a female

Till the end of time

And even beyond that

Still I am exactly equal to

And like a man in every way.

I am just like a man

Because I love cars

Or at least I know they exist

Which is exactly the same thing

As being a car guy.

Yet, I still am forced by society

To choose not to walk down certain streets at night,

Not out of fear of rape, robbery or murder

But because I might see a spider.

I am so afraid

Of those bloody things.

My mother has fallen into the female subservience trap.

The other day I asked her why she gave up her dreams

Of being a work-from-home wine critic,

And she had the unmitigated gall to respond

So I could devote my time to caring for

You, your father and brother,

You ungrateful little brat.”

Well, I’m not going to turn out like her,

The stupid cow.

(Xiang goes back to her table.)

Art Teacher: Very good, Xiang. You truly will help enable womankind to live on Mars someday. Our next reader will be Anna.

(Anna steps to the mic and reads.)

Anna: This poem is called “Will Everyone Stop Obsessing Over Me Already.”

The other day I went to the coffee shop

To get me some java.

The girl behind the counter asked,

Medium regular?”

Medium regular!

How did that serving wench

Know I was a lesbian?

I could tell just by the way she said that

That she’s totally obsessed

With this fact about me.

I can tell by the way everyone looks at me

And talks to me,

Just like her,

That they are totally obsessed

By my attraction to my own sex.

Well, just stop it already!

My sexual orientation

Is none of your business.

Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!

(Anna returns to her seat.)

Art Teacher: Very good, Anna. You have an awareness of the way the world sees you that most people even slightly older than you don’t possess. Our final reader will be Jennifer.

(Jennifer steps to the mic and reads.)

Jennifer: This poem is called “Bad Hair Day.”

On the day we broke up

I had a lock of hair slightly out of place.

Thinking it over later

Of course this is the reason you said goodbye.

It couldn’t have been the way I never use deodorant,

Or don’t do anything whatsoever about my zits,

Or don’t practice much else in the way of personal hygiene,

Because those are all personal choices

I make for myself,

Whereas I couldn’t control that stray hair.

Art Teacher: Very good, Jennifer. Now if you could quickly go back to your seat, please, I would appreciate that. Well, audience dismissed. I guess I hope we can do something like this again sometime.

(The teacher and students exit.)

Closing credits.

WHAT DO I WANT IN A GIRL?

One who handles her kid's accidents

like an Inuit

sipping a milkshake

in a snowstorm.

One who sets the kids up

with a wholesome activity

so she can take some time

to play with her toys.

One who, if she works in a caring profession,

Or anything that involves caring at all

Can cry with and over

The people for whom she has to do so.

One who constantly puts herself last,

And by doing so

always gets what she wants.

All these things I cogitate

while hoping I can reciprocate.

ABORTED BABIES WHISH THEY'D BEEN BORN

Some of you thought you were doing right,

Some others have souls

that are blacker than night.

Some of you truly in no way could see

how to provide for and raise

your embryonic one rightly.

Many of you, though,

only  thought about you

as opposed to the life

conceived by the two.

For all would-have-been parents

your abortion was wrong

But for everyone of you, too

God's matchless grace has come along.

The current condition

of your poor, sinful state

Can be transformed right now

via Acts chapter 2

and at verse 38.

DEAD ATHEISTS BELIEVE IN GOD

Renee was not good.

The things which in your textbook you did see

ought to have pointed you to He

who created them all

and also made thee.

Many scientists believe in the Lord

and if you loved God

you should have looked toward

those who could attest with their eye

God's not some old man in the sky.

God created us he and she

And also formed sexuality

For complementary relations with the opposite number

Not to change natural use in willful slumber.

Don't deny your feelings

and don't be a faker.

Go into your prayer closet

and converse with your Maker.

Christ's desires for your life

Won't always be what yours would,

But they'll ultimately always

Work for your true good.

AH: Of course, in this poem I am assuming Renee Good was actually a social activist and not either an MK Ultra victim or a crisis actor. Wonder if she has a birth certificate.

THOROUGHLY UNFAIR

We are not backward or narrow-minded,

As you appear to suppose,

We possess within a common sense,

That which our reason knows.

The identity you've assigned yourself

Enters not into our minds,

More important to us

You're our friend and neighbour,

So warm, so caring, so kind.

What you attribute to cowardice

May in fact be God's common grace,

keeping you from destroying forever

Your beautiful voice and lovely face.

Praise the One who made you uniquely,

For so true the statement wrings,

That every bit that constitutes you

Are all one woman's things.

The ilumination of yellow

You think you've sene

Is the plethora of shades

Of both red and green.

LITTLE GIRL, DON'T YOU CRY

 Little girl,

Don't you cry

Because I most certainly understand

If you could just kill that man.

In your new bedroom at just 15

Did stepdaddy come in

To do things obscene?

You lay on the rug

After an impossible day,

Did your mom insinuate

You wanted it that way?

But maybe he didn't do things

That would make a normal man gag,

Maybe the bastard just used you

As his punching bag.

There was only one rotary phone

So you couldn't call for aid,

Oh won't you please now call upon the righteous judge,

The One by whom you were made.

If there are things bottled up inside,

Tell Him who's called faithful and true,

It's OK to be sad in the Lord, little girl,

Cry all that you need to.

YES JESUS

At the age you walked away from Him

I walked toward Him.

A blasphemer in my unsaved days,

Now in the Lord I delight

and give Him praise.

You threw the proverbial baby

out with It's bathwater.

From your cultic church

You were right to fly, little bird,

But should never have disowned God as His daughter.

You say it is just too intense

To reconcile belief with common sense.

Well, my beautiful, garulous bard,

I suspect you haven't been trying too hard.

"Lord, I'd like to think about you longer,

But I have to go."

Just thank that God above

For regulating your flow.

NO KING BUT KING JESUS

“No King but King Jesus:

The Cowboy’s Creed”

Dedicated to my heroes: Peter, Rich, Earl and Col. Jack.

Out where the prairie meets the sky,

And the eagle dares to fly up high,

A cowboy bows his weathered head,

And thanks the Lord for daily bread.

With boots worn thin from trails he’s rode,

He lifts the cross, not just the load.

His flag waves highred, white, and blue,

But Christ’s own banner waves there too.

He rides for freedom, rides for right,

Defends the truth with all his might.

He ain’t ashamed to kneel and pray,

While cattle low and children play.

He knows this land was bought with blood,

Through valleys deep and judgment’s flood.

From Calvary’s hill to Bunker Hill,

The price was paid, and he stands still.

No king but Christ rules in his soul,

No tyrant takes what God made whole.

He’ll hold the linebold, brave, and true,

Like patriots of seventy-two and seventy-six

The Bible’s worn, the leather cracked,

But every word he’s ever backed.

He lives by grace and rides by grit,

Where Spirit, Truth, and duty sit.

He sees this land from shore to shore,

As blessed by God forevermore.

And with his brothers strong and free,

He shouts in faith and victory:

This is the land, and we are the people,

One nation still under God.

Thankful that we are the covenant people,

Called to stand firmneath cross

God please Bless your people.

This is the new JerUSAlem

God’s light still shines through freedom’s gem.

His covenant we still defend, With cowboy courage to the end.

So tip your hat and raise your eyes,

To western trails and freedom’s skies.

For cowboy hearts and Christian men

Will ridetil Christ returns again.

And when he rides through heaven’s gate,

Where saints and angels congregate,

You’ll hear him shout with holy trust,

No King but King Jesus!

FAMILY: THE CHILDREN OF THE FRUIT OF TRUE LOVE

In God's perfect way, when a man and a woman come together with love into marriage a seed is planted and the power of new life together becomes the root and trunk of the branches and their family ttree begins to grow as the man and his wife tend to grow together in this perfect way, becoming a new tree of life as generations branch out into perpetual growth as children get married and start the next seed of the tree before them.

As the seed of the tree falls to the ground or gets carried away to fertile ground but when men and women's kinds corrupt their power and their purity the ground they find will be rocky and full of throns where broken purity struggles togrow without the pure power that brought Jesus Christ to live among us, then be crucified and come back to live among us again. This is the power of the fruit that landed on fertile soil.

Pray for Purity

Ask God to heal you, save you

and bring you into His light

that opens your ears

and restores your sight,

and allows you to live for God's glory and might.

Ask Jesus to be with you

in the day

and through the night

and teach you more each day

what is wrong

and what is right.

In Jesus name. Amen.

Abortion is perpetual killing because the children of the children of the children of the child aborted will never be born. This is evil's purpose of abortion. That is, the population devestation of the human race.

The truth in Jesus Christ is the trinity of wisdom, logic and common sense that applies knowlege in God's peerfect way.

A TRIBUTE TO THE BABYSITTER WHO USED TO CHANGE MY DIAPER

You led me into the room

where the act was performed

The sun shone through the window

and your attitude was so warm.

You laid me down on the vanity,

Never shaming me for what I'd done in my pants,

Your tender ministration

to this day enchants.

You conversed with me through changing

Leading me through the process thereof

This toddler gratefully receiving

your kindness, care and love.

I wish I could express in person

this recollection from when not very old,

Mundane things done for a little child

May very well reverberate untoled.

A POEM ON THE DEATH OF MY SISTER

Mary's gone,

gone away.

Summer days

we'll never have.

Country drives

we'll never take.

Empty chair

at the table.

Mom now lives

all alone.

Nothing will ever be the same.
