Holy moley! I was reading mountaineer Jim Whittaker's autobiography "Life on the Edge" during the time he died. I started it late last week and finished yesterday.
Tim Bowling has a unique way of drawing you into his stories.
Recently listened to an abridged audiobook version of "You Gotta Play Hurt" by Dan Jenkins. That guy sure was funny.
Am now listening to the abridged audiobook of "The Man Who Listens to Horses" by Monty Roberts, the horse whisperer. Had no idea he went through such a bad childhood.
Am also reading right now Paul Myer's biography of John Candy and enjoying it. A couple quibbles so far, though: In 1950, the famed comedian wouldn't have been brought home from the hospital the day he was born. They liked to keep mothers in babies in the hospital for a while in those days. Also, its "Rocky and Bullwinkle" not " Bullwinkle and Rocky." Oh yeah, and aren't you supposed to put quotation marks around titles?
