A man is greatnot because he has not failed, a man is great because failure has not stopped him because his sense of purpose is his direction like when Jesus slew the giant who opressed his people.
God, throughout his life, had prepared and protected David to stand over this task, a true test of who he was in God's plan and what he could complete with God through His Spirit of Christ's truth from the cross and the blood of redemption.
This is the cross that Jesus died on so we could live with Him in God's purpose in us.
We become united as we gather and walk together into the battle of good and evil empowered by the greatness of His grace into God's glory already prepared. John 14 3
