I held her as a baby
Then I held her baby.
She was told to walk to Mommy
But walked past her to university instead.
He messed around with his friends in the church basement
Then went upstairs and preached his grandfather's funeral.
She watched me grow up into greater adulthood
Though I had no idea I was being watched.
