Peter Orlandi, whose family were residents of Vatican City, tells the story of the disappearance of his sister Emanuela in 1983. His experiences and attempts to investigate the case lead Peter to some startling personal conclusions.

Though at the end of the film things remain unsolved, the implications resulting from what is told herein are startling and, unfortunately, all too familiar to any student of what the Catholic church, particularly the Vatican itself, is really like.
