Congratulations to Bill Halman of Corus Cornwall on becoming a father.
A community radio association in BC wants to start a radio station whose broadcast day would include TV audio from Knowledge Network and APTN. Sounds interesting.
There's been a lot of news this week about the desire among journalists for increased protection. While criminal actions are never commendable, the utter lack of self-awareness and, frankly, an attitude bordering on narcissistic among those who work in the mainstream media is astounding. If you were actually covering stories that were important from all sides and really endeavouring to get at the truth of events, people would applaud you instead of harassing and threatening you. Also, I'm wondering how many of those threats are actual threats under the law. Someone can say something online or even in real life, but in how many cases was there truly a reason to believe the threat would be carried out?
Incidentally, its hard to believe how many truth blogs and websites have been out and out banned (Wordpress I'm looking in your direction) or gone offline for other reasons.
While I'm not really a fan of them, Educational Media Foundation has purchased and changed the formats of WUYL-FM and WVNV-FM in upstate New York to K-Love. Here's hoping those stations, which blast into Montreal, will help win that city for Christ.
