Picked up B 104.7 Syracuse with Boxer and country music last night and tonight. Tonight I stayed tuned and caught the first several minutes of "After Midnight", playing two of the same records Boxer had just spun.

Surprised to hear The Wolf Peterborough's Luke Foster was in the hospital again.

Tuned into "TGI Nineties" Friday night on My FM. There were a lot of tracks I hadn't heard before, and some rare dance tracks, but overall I found it pretty boring. Not a lot of music you could party to on a Friday evening and John put hardly any phone calls on the air, despite the fact it was a request show.

The Wolf Peterborough played the same ID twice in a row tonight.

Interesting the Kitchener Rangers are now going to be on two community stations.

Picked up WFIL Philadelphia tonight for the first time with Pastor Ernie Sanders.

Picked up Froggy 97 Watertown tonight with much fainter signal than last night.

Last Friday I picked up WBEE Rochester with Rob and Holly and featured guest Ashley Cooke.

Earlier this week picked up 93Q Syracuse with fair signal and top forty music.

The next night I picked up Rock 95.1 Rochester with rock music and I assume voice tracked anncr. Came in like a local.

Glad to pick up Froggy 97 Watertown last night with Rowdy Yates. Early this evening when I checked it had disappeared, but was back late tonight with automated country music and commercials; also had the same strength as the station above did.

Hits FM Belleville plays an incredible variety of music now. Heard "Seasons in the Sun" tonight.

Glad CJMR Missisauga and Joy 1250 Oakville are back.

Tuned into WLIB New York last night featuring Spanish IDs, spots mainly in English and songs (mostly in English but a couple Spanish as well) from the seventies to at least the 00s.

RADIO-RELATED STUFF: SOME GROUSES AND A FAR AWAY MIXING PRODUCT ON 90.9

Sirius-XM is supposed to be an alternative to terrestrial radio. Now they broadcast terrestrial radio stations.

Sad WCSB Cleveland is gone.

Was picking up another mixing product this afternoon on my kitchen radio, this time tuned to 90.9. This included KCBI from Dallas, Texas and KLRC from northwest Arkansas, both with Christian programming. I also heard a secular music station which I assume is a college outlet, as well as a classical station. 

RADIO-RELATED STUFF: A GREAT NIGHT OF DX AND I BARELY HAD TO TURN THE DIAL

Tonight I picked up an ecclectic mixing product indeed. I had my kitchen radio tuned to 90.7 and was receiving WMFE from Orlando mixed with K-Love's WCFE from Dyersburg, Tennessee. At various times on that same frequency there appeared a jazz station playing a whole whack of Tony bennett selections, a classical station, a pop station, and two other Christian stations who at one point were coming in almost simultaniously and broadcasting Adrian Rogers and Charles Stanley.

Later, on my living room radio I picked up a Family Life and an Air One station on 88.3. I think the Family Life station was from Kansas City, Missouri judging by an ad for a Mercy Me concert.

Also picked up 93Q Syracuse with relatively poor signal. 

MEDIA-RELATED STUFF: A PERSONAL SUMMER TRADITION CONTINUES

Listened to Radio Six from Glasgow, Scotland Friday afternoon, as I like to do any time, but especially around mid-July.

With an a.i. announcement, six Canadian radio stations no one listened to were gone last week.

Never knew there ever was an HBO Family, let alone it had shut down just over a year ago.

Picked up Kiss 98.5 Buffalo late Monday night, with signal continuing to be present till at least late Tuesday morning.

Picked up K-Love Buffalo last night with good signal but tonight it's booming in like a local.

Was picking up CJRT Toronto this afternoon on my kitchen radio, also with a fairly respectable signal.

Picked up Froggy 97 Watertown with "Seven Till Midnight" with automated country music and commercials including for Jefferson County Fair.

Here's late former  Canadian TV talk show host Bob McLean on 1250 CHWO Oakville from 1998. Had no idea the 1250 version of what is now Zoomer Radio at 740 played any kind of contemporary music as opposed to just standards.

Glad to find out KTVA-TV Anchorage is back.

Didn't realize Durham Radio changed the call letters of Country 105 Peterborough from CKQM to CKXP.

Hope Bell doesn't screw up digitizing its archives like it seems to everything else.

Each week, through our Reflections programme on RNIB Connect Radio, we are reaching people with sight loss who may never walk into a church, but who are open to finding hope in Jesus.

Many of those listening are not part of a local church community. For some, this programme may be the only place they hear the Bible or are reminded that they are not alone. We also now broadcast Reflections on two stations in New Zealand, Radio Maria, and more recently, a hospital radio station, extending that reach even further.

While these stations generously give us free airtime, it costs around £300 each week to produce a programme that is engaging, accessible, and rooted in the hope of the gospel. This covers the work of our staff, contributors, and production team, all working to ensure each broadcast connects meaningfully with those listening.

Reflections offers a gentle and accessible way for people to engage with faith, wherever they are. Through music, real-life stories and scripture, the programme creates a sense of connection and belonging for those who may feel isolated. For many listeners, it becomes a weekly companion and a familiar voice that brings encouragement, comfort and the reassurance that they are not alone. This area of our ministry feels more important than ever as we are seeing that people in the UK are more open to exploring faith than in recent years. Ted Turner has died at 87. Can't say much for CNN (wars shouldn't have theme music), nor for Turner as a person. I do have fond memories of watching TBS, though.

Man, "The Late Show" has gotten so pathetic Colbert isn't even going to end it on a Friday.
