When the right hand hits the left hand with a hammer at work does the left hand now hate and hold an everlasting grudge against the right hand or does the right hand care for and help the left hand to heal so they can now work closer together to get through the rest of the task they were assigned?
If the left hand hates and holds a grudge then both hands suffer from the blow of the hammer.
Stop dragging the dead weight of your past into your future: it only slows down progress and breaks down the body as a whole. The labour of your sins from the past needs to stop being the burden of your future.
We are all parts of the same body. Only through forgiveness can we learn to know the future together as one working together. Forgiveness is the only way to move forward from the wreckage of our past.
Ungodly behaviour brings ungodly consequences.
