On this Fourth of July, we extend our heartfelt wishes for a happy, blessed, and safe Independence Day to you, the faithful remnant who stand firm in these latter days. As you gather with family, reflect on the blessings of liberty, or remember those who sacrificed for freedom, may the Lord grant you peace, protection, and a renewed sense of His sovereign hand over our nation and His people. This day commemorates the birth of a nation conceived in liberty, yet we know that true and lasting freedom flows first from the throne of God. As Scripture declares: - “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” (2 Corinthians 3:17)
- “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1)
- “Proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants.” (Leviticus 25:10)
- “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” (Psalm 33:12)
These truths remind us that our ultimate citizenship is in heaven, and our greatest liberty is found in Christ Jesus, who sets us free indeed (John 8:36). Our Founding Fathers understood this connection between faith and freedom. They frequently acknowledged God as the Author of liberty: - John Adams: “Liberty must at all hazards be supported. We have a right to it, derived from our Maker.”
- Thomas Jefferson: “The God who gave us life gave us liberty at the same time; the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them.”
- Benjamin Franklin: “Freedom is not a gift bestowed upon us by other men, but a right that belongs to us by the laws of God and nature.”
- Patrick Henry: “Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God!”
These men recognized that liberty is a gift from the Creator, to be guarded with vigilance and faith. Today, as Babylon’s systems wane and trials increase, we the remnant are called to walk in this same spirit—relying on faith, hope, and love as our armor, proclaiming the full counsel of God’s Law and Word, and standing as lights in a darkening world. May this Independence Day renew your strength. May your celebrations be filled with joy, your families protected, and your hearts anchored in the eternal liberty we have in Christ.
