From Satan's lair.

I've broken free from some

To the light of your mountain's peak.

Bring me to a freedom in this world

Of the desperate in despair.

What you've done in my life

MS. GILLIE WISHES HER PARENTS A HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

If you were to take a survey of 100 married couples, wait ten years, and retake the survey you would find maybe half still together. 

On this date in 1969 a pretty young school teacher Lorna Denyse Hewgill, and a Jack of all trades Douglass Harvey Ardiel stood before a crowd of family and friends at the Presbyterian church in the town they had both grown up in.  They repeated those most sacred of words, and 53 years and two daughters, myself and my sister later they are definitely an exception to today’s rule of marry, argue, separate, and divorce.

                           What’s Their Secret?

Remember how I told you about my town just seeming to hold on to traditional family values?  It also helps that my grandparents on both sides set standards of communication and fidelity.

THE CURE FOR ATHEISM

Have you ever seen something so wonderous as a waterfall or leaves changing when summer turns to autumn?  It’s very beautiful, and so unique you might just take a picture.

I do a lot of putting Canada down, but the one thing it does right is its national and provincial park services.  I have been to some of the provincial parks.  

One was in that transitional time between summer and autumn, and seeing those leaves go from green to vibrant reds, oranges, and golds had me curious about God.  The waterways we traveled were serene and quiet.  

The other time fell in that period between spring and summer when everything was blooming and colorful. 

How can a person say there isn’t a God when there’s all of that to gaze upon?

DRAG QUEENS DRAG DOWN STORY HOUR AT THE LIBRARY

When I was a child in the 1980s one of the major joys of my life was going to the local library for story time.  The kids from the neighborhood would be treated to songs, stories, and fun times with a lovely grandmotherly figure named Mrs. Fossette.  She knew just the right books to quench our young curiosities and made it fun.

Recently I was listening to a leftist news outlet and was shocked and rather frightened by the fact that drag queens were allowed to lead out children’s story hours. 

So what boils my potatoes about this?  Unlike when I was a youngster in the 1980s kids aren’t allowed time outside, but drag queens are allowed to read to them.  Have I entered opposite land?

JEALOUSY: A SIN OFTEN STEMMING FROM AN EVOLUTIONARY WORLDVIEW

Shakespeare was the first to refer to jealousy as “the green-eyed monster” and ever since the 16th century, people have often asked others if they’ve been afflicted by said monster.  What is it?  First off it’s a sin, we are told not to covet things.  I’ll admit that sometimes even now I am guilty of this, but it was way worse prior to my accepting Jesus.  

        

Second, it’s really unattractive: it’s like never getting rid of that zit before the prom.  

Most importantly, it’s a symptom of the virus known as sin.

What Are People Jealous Of? Many Things, it could be your neighbor’s jealous of your nice shiny new car.  Maybe someone you work with is jealous that you got a bump in pay, because you work your rump off.  Maybe there’s no real reason, someone is just jealous for jealousy’s sake.

Whose Jealous? Everyone is at one point or another, it’s in our sinful nature.  There are some folks, though,  who are more so than others, evolutionists.

                           Why Are Evolutionists Jealous?

When the dark, hanging clouds of life’s problems come around me I just call up one of my church elders, and we pray.  Unfortunately,  Devilutionists as I call them don’t have something to reach for when the dark hangies come around.

FEAR: THE NATURAL RESULT OF UNGODLINESS

In God’s Word it tells us to fear nothing and to trust God in everything we do, but why are so many folks frightened?

The left is fearful as they do not have something to reach for in the tough times.  They fear knowing that the drag queen that they send in to the local library is actually a known sex offender.  They are afraid to admit that their abortion will lead to future infertility and kidney failure.  One person who heeded not that reminder was American actress Jean Harlo, and she paid a deadly price.

                           What Else Scares Them?: my church.  Why?  

I attend a black church, and I must admit that these folks are some of the hardest working God fearing folks I have come across.  Not willing to accept hand outs they go one further and teach their children those values.  The left finds this willingness not to just collect welfare intimidating, because they wish to pretend they are not holding racial prejudices.

Success is a wonderful thing, but fear can lead to something else the left is not prepared to admit.  

I have asked many of the young people “so what do you want to do when you grow up?”  and the typical response is: doctor, lawyer, business person, engineer, etc. etc.  

Why is the left scared of that?  Same reason the KKK tried unsuccessfully to block civil rights: fear and jealousy.  Fear that one of these fine young men and women might just be the surgeon removing their gangrenous leg, and jealous that they did not “sit back popping out babies” and now they run a million dollar engineering firm.
