NEWS FOR SEPTEMBER AND LIST OF OCTOGENARIANS

WA&WD News – 1 September 2024

- I’m announcing a new feature to the Dead or Alive Data Base:

Celebrities who Died Younger Than You

. You enter your date of birth and then you’re given a set of notable people who did not live to be quite as old as you are now, followed by a set of people

who lived to be a little older than you are. What do you think? When you see the people you have outlived, do you think, “Wow, they accomplished so much

in their lives, and I haven’t done anything”? Or, do you think, “Maybe I didn’t have my own talk show or make a gold record, but at least I’m still alive”?

I think when I was younger, I tended toward the first thought, but now, I definitely lean toward the latter!

You may want to use this new feature every day! If so, you can click on the Favorites box near the top of the DOADB.com home page to make it easy to find.

(Or, you can always bookmark it in your browser.)
