It's a busy weekend at the Madoc Legion.
This Friday is Madoc's Open Mic 6:30 pm. We are very pleased to have Jerry Whyte joining us to take care of the sound. And to make sure that our musical participants sound great!! Jerry is a pretty fine musician himself - so we have that additional pleasure to look forward to. :D
I've had a few people telling me they are coming Friday so expecting a good night that you won't want to miss! I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone.
As always we will have 2 mics and stands, mic covers for anyone that wants them, music stand, 2 monitors and a great PA system - that just keeps getting better. And we have Jerry on the mixer so we are ready to go!
On Saturday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. the Legion is holding a Chilli Cook Off - that Sue Keller organized and that I and a bunch of other people have been helping with. THANK YOU to everyone who jumped in and rescued the day by joining the Chilli Cook Off competition. The entertainment is going to be GREAT!! The Bees Knees with special guest (our own) Cousin Gibbard Suede!!! So bring your dancing shoes! :D
The Chilli Competition begins @5:00 with music before and after (I think) so lots to do and LOTS of FUN!! At 6:00 we'll be selling off the rest of the Chilli for $3/bowl (including buns and toppings) to eat there or take home so bring some cash.
