A Maryland woman allegedly killed her children's four pets before strangling her daughter to death.
Keyona Dillon, 34, is facing a first-degree murder charge in connection with the death of her 11-year-old daughter London Olsen.
Officers were called to a Middle River home around 12 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23. Inside the home, officers discovered the body of London; a dog, two cats and a rabbit were also found dead, WWNY-TV reported.
Dillon allegedly told police she attacked her daughter and “admitted that she killed the four animals to show victim what would happen to her if she didn’t tell the truth,” according to a charging document, per WWNY-TV.
A ligature mark was allegedly found on the girl’s neck, investigators said, according to WBFF.
According to the charging document, Dillon’s 5-year-old daughter told police Dillon beat the pets with a hammer the night before she allegedly killed London, per CBS News.
When officers attempted to speak to Dillon, she allegedly displayed “erratic behavior, including exclamations about exposing child sex rings, transsexuals and Proud Boys. Keyona Dillon acted erratically and made statements about groups trying to set her up,” according to the charging documents, WWNY-TV reported.
Police said three additional children were discovered unharmed inside the home.
Dillon remains held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
It is unclear if she has entered a plea.
