This Peterborough artist has an unbelievably soulful voice. As far as her sound is concerned, it ranges from rock with a bit of a country tinge when Burgess is solo, to an expansive alt country undertaking with her band The Emburys. Neither is Burgess bad at blues rock or real rock and roll to boot.
