BOOK THOUGHTS: FICTION FROM VARIOUS DECADES

Have been reading "The Complete Short Stories of Ernest Hemingway" lately. I'd forgotten what a good writer he was.

Enjoyed a reading I heard about a month ago from local author Rick Revelle. The passage he read made the book sound intriguing, but the same bloody thing could have happened to three white women back in 1959 when the passage was set or even today.

Was pleasantly surprised the short story "Max" by Cahim Potok portrayed Christians in a good light.
