Did you know that the word joy is mentioned over 800 times in the Bible? Do you know people who seem not only to reach for it, but encourage people to do the same? Perhaps you might be one of those people.
What is joy? It is defined as elation, happiness, and all around good feelings. People who have joy as a top priority live longer, are more pleasant to be around, and tend to bring sunshine to even the darkest days.
What can one do to increase their own level of joy? Read your Bible. You'll find 800 references in many forms. Encircle yourself with people who have made joy top billing in their lives. Finally. See the sunshine through the clouds. That may be hard when you are down a hole of sadness and discouragement, but God is the bringer of joy.
