Read "The Guilty" by David Baldachi. The ending left a little to be desired but I appreciate any book that makes you feel like you're in the setting.
Read "Double Homicide" by Jonathan and Fay Kellerman. Two good mysteries, also with a real sense of place.
Didn't like the first Alex Delaware book I read but now that I've read "The Murder Book" I have come to appreciate Delaware's growth.
Anyone who thinks legal thrillers can't be good literature should read "Innocent" by Scott Turrow.
Dick Francis' books of course featured a lot of horses but I've noticed they tend to feature a lot of dogs, too.
