MUSINGS ABOUT BRAILLE

I know why the braille letter w looks different from the other letters of the alphabet, not following the same pattern, but who invented it? I know English braille had to come up with a w because-at least at that time-w wasn't used in the French alphabet, but who thought of making it a reversed r?

It would be neat to see some braille in languages that don't use the Roman alphabet.

Cool both that certain languages got a written language in braille before getting one in print and that missionaries pioneered putting braille into many foreign tongues.

It would also be neat to get my hands on some braille written in grade 3 and similar systems.

Had someone been able to come up with the equivalent of a brailler or slate and stylus that would enable a blind person to produce Moon type or New York Point, I wonder what it would have looked like.
