With her clever lyrics, lovely and natural voice, and varied lyrical topics, this Coburg native, being described as an alternative pop singer, is definitely worth checking out.
It's also clear from reading up on her that Jayde knows where she wants to go in her musical career and I have every hope she'll get there.
Find out about Jayde here.http://itsjaydemusic.com/
The frequently zany scribblings of a well-rounded man with passionate opinions. Hey, it's better than "Something I put up because I needed to rant before my head exploded."

SEVERAL MORE BLASTS FROM THE PAST
98.3 CFLY-FM Kingston from late 1981, Don Robinson closing a Sunday edition of all that jazz. He mentioned the tenth anniversary show would be next Saturday and told listeners to stay tuned for "Sunday Sunday" followed by old-time radio shows. Board op was Anna Zanetti. Sponsor was Wally's of London. Then part of intro to "Sunday Sunday." Then into WNCQ Watertown with ID and country music with anncr frontselling songs.

GOOD BOOTY: LOVE AND SEX, BLACK AND WHITE, BODY AND SOUL IN AMERICAN MUSIC
By Ann Powers. New York: Dey Street Books, 2017.
Finally, I found someone who sucks worse than Josh Harris.
This book is a history of the intersections of sexuality and race in music in America, from New Orleans in the early 1800s to the internet world of today.
Though I found this sweeping tome informative, it smacks of the social justice warrior agenda. Powers' bias is clear throughout this history, and when she can't find evidence to support something, she makes it up, as in a Gospel singer's transgenderism.
It would also seem Powers has a dirty mind. Though sexuality is of course a huge part of popular music, like Josh Harris's "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" or a lot of the other rhetoric coming from fundamentalist Christian proponents of purity culture, she doesn't seem to realize there's a lot more to being attracted to someone than what goes on in one's lower regions. For the author, most everything is down to sex.

FAREWELL TO THE TWENTIETH CENTURY: A COMPENDIUM OF THE ABSURD
By Pierre Berton. Toronto: Doubleday Canada Limited, 1996.
This collection of humourous pieces about foibles of life in
the previous century seems slapped together. Though much in this collection is
both quite funny and still applicable, many of the pieces seem dated, as if the
book were compiled from old newspaper columns or something of the kind.
Seeing as how we’re about to wrap up the second decade of
the 21st century, I thought I’d take a look at some things that have
changed since this book was published. You can consider this a kind of letter
to the late Mr. Berton, if you like.
A Cold War spy story
For the last several years, the West has been trying to
ignite a second Cold War, if not a hot one, with Russia.
Annals of scientific
advance
Apparently, there are still perfume ads in magazines, even
though there is lots of talk nowadays about people being sensitive to certain
smells, with there even being signs saying THIS IS A SCENT-FREE ZONE.
Here is an interview with Susan Bennett, the voice of Siri.
Nowadays, we have the Dyson hand dryers, which dry your
hands much more completely and efficiently. However, I don’t know how much they’ve
caught on.
Sam Sylvester’s Great
Deterrent
With Donald Trump having just inaugurated the space force,
the deterrents will be in space as well as on Earth.
A twentieth-century
confession (a found document)
Hardly anyone does Christmas cards anymore. In fact, I think
people had stopped doing Christmas cards by 1996 when this book was published.
The Type-A
personality: A case study
Everyone is being pushed to be a Type-A personality to the
max.
Diamonds aren’t
forever
Check out this video telling you why engagement rings are a
scam.
The Elbow
Worshippers: A salutary report
With the increased encroachment of Islamic fundamentalism in
Western culture, as well as a backlash of rising Christian fundamentalism,
there’s still a huge amount of conflict over the display of the human body.
However, thanks to the internet, there’s also more nudity than ever before,
too.
The waiting room
This piece is a perfect example of why, as Jesus told us,
there will be no marrying or giving in marriage in Heaven. Besides, that
diamond engagement ring will be worth even less there anyway.
The day the Martian
landed
There are now literally dozens of programs on radio,
television and the internet, as well as websites, forums, social media
platforms, as well as conferences and conventions in real life, concerned with
the topic of life other places in the universe.
Twentieth-century
artifacts
In our time, the social justice warriors put their
free-wheeling spin on recent history, not-so-recent history and everything else
they please.
Mammoth Airlines
Annual Report
Since 9/11, air travel is even worse, thanks to increases in
airport security. The airlines constant need to increase profit margins no
matter what as well as the rising price of fossil fuels doesn’t help, either.
When cigarettes were
banned
More ridiculous laws have been enacted to try to prevent
youths from smoking, and now the same people are going after vaping, as well.
No word yet on if the government is going to do anything to figure out why
people develop the mental part of the addiction.
Funnily enough, we now also have an opioid crisis.
New fads in the
funeral industry
From what I’ve heard and seen, about 20 percent of people
don’t even bother having funerals or memorial services anymore.
Where’ll we go on our
holidays?
Space tourism is being vigourously talked about, with a few
private companies having been founded for this purpose, but there have been no
concrete developments so far.
Remember when
Christmas was for real?
Christmas is more commercialized than ever. Even Christian
organizations have gotten in on the act, with some saying if you don’t make a
big deal out of Christmas, you don’t love Jesus. (See my post “You Mean We
Crucified The Pagans?”)
The day the
population exploded
Check out this video on why population growth isn’t
a problem.
Also, China abolished its one-child policy a few years ago
after it turned out to be a huge, disastrous mess.
What Algernon
Stringer did for commercials
Now people are exposed to more advertising than ever. In
fact, there are free long-distance calling services out there that are
supported by advertising, meaning you have to listen to a commercial before
being connected to your party.
The great detergent
premium race
Other than receiving a few dvds in some laundry detergent, I
don’t think there were putting premiums in laundry detergent even back in ’96.
The first TV
execution
They show people being put to death on television in China.
(Them again.)
Doesn’t James Bond
realize no means no?
In the trailer for the latest installment in the franchise,
007 is portrayed as quite decrepit.
The ultimate wine
tasting
Now it seems everywhere in the world makes wine, not just
France, California, Chile, Niagara, etc.
Ralph Jasper’s
publishing triumph
There are still magazines in waiting rooms, but I’d imagine
most people are probably too engaged with their smartphones to bother taking a
look at them.
A movie critic’s rise
and fall
I actually remember a story several years ago in Maclean’s
about publishing companies taking book critic’s remarks out of context for the “Praise
For” section of the introductory parts of books.
Station CHOO with the
Sound That’s New
Radio, including the CBC, continues to get worse.
Bafflingly, CBC is actually more popular than it’s ever
been.
Incidentally, CHOO was an actual radio station, a country
station in Ajax which is now the same format but on FM and going by a different
monichre. I thought you would have known that, Pierre.
How we converted our
split-level into a monster home
Though there are still plenty of monster homes, the tiny
house movement has also gained a lot of momentum.
The darling of the
talk shows
In adition to their being more talk of aliens than ever
before, there is also more talk of psychic phenomena.
Whatever became of
Whosit?
Nowadays, when not bashing Prsident Trump or going gaga over
the latest salvo in the social justice warrior agenda, mainstream news consists
mainly of asking the average person how they feel about an event, even if it’s
taking place thousands of miles away.
A catalogue of
realistic Christmas toys
Not being in the parent loop, I don’t know how sophisticated
toys have gotten, but they’re probably more realistic than ever before.
Divorce in our time:
A modest proposal
Apparently, there actually are divorce ceremonies. Google it
if you don’t believe me.
A catalogue of the
new labour-saving devices
Nowadays we have voice-dialing.
A lot of people are now into installing wood stoves, or
pellet stoves.
Now they have battery-operated carpet sweepers.
Apparently, washboards are making a
comeback, what with the off the grid movement.
A coffee-lovers’ call
to arms
Nowadays, there are more coffee preparation options than
ever. I don’t drink coffee anymore so I can’t really critique the quality of
the different brands.

VELVET ELVIS
By Rob Bell. Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan, 2005.
The best part of this book is watching the fundies go crazy.
This is a thought-provoking, insightful and challenging book that will make you ponder deeply what it means to be a Christian and what walking with Jesus is all about. Granted, the way Bell phrases some things is at least slightly questionable, but the context of those phrases should prevent believers from being steered wrong.

A DAUGHTER'S DEADLY DECEPTION: THE JENNIFER PAN STORY
By Jeremy Grimaldi. Toronto: Dundurn, 2016.
This book has what all good books possess.
Namely, a gripping story told well by its author, a well-rounded and detailed presentation of people and events and a conclusion that wraps things up in the mind of the reader but also leaves one feeling pensive.
In this true crime account, journalist Grimaldi presents the 2010 news event and subsequent happenings in a very readable and accessible way. First, he unfolds the investigation. Then, he depicts the highlights of the trial. Then he tells the story, using details from the trial and presents a concluding part. Readers will find themselves as I was: unable to put this book down.

ARE JEWS THE SYNAGOGUE OF SATAN
The following is a response to this.https://goodfightradio.podbean.com/e/are-the-jews-a-synagogue-of-satan-part-2/
(There was very little in part one I would disagree with that I won't get to later in this post. Good Fight Ministries corrected some misinterpretations of Scripture, and so the only area of conflict I would have with them in part one would be the identity of the true covenant people.)
So Jehovah's Witnesses, Black Hebrew Israelites, or people like me were persecuting Christians in Smyrna and Philadelphia?! When the plain sense of Scripture makes sense, seek no other sense! It seems pretty obvious from the text that there were a group of people who claimed to be Jews but were not true Jews as defined in Romans 2 28-29 who were persecuting the Christians (made up of both Jews and Gentiles) in those two cities.
Why in 3 9 does Jesus say He would make these physical Jews know that He loved the Christians? Probably because those Jews were saying they were a special people for whom alone there would be a good future. Why does Jesus say He would make these Jews worship at the Christian's feet? Probably because those Jews were saying everyone else would worship them and be those Jews' servants in the world to come. This is still taught in the Jewish so-called holy book, the Talmud, today.
Now to the issue of the return to the land. First, when we use the word Jew today, we are mostly not actually referring to the ethnic group mentioned in the Bible. In addition, the original Jews, that is, the tribe of Judah (and Benjamin mixed in with them) were only two out of twelve original tribes. Those ten tribes were scattered at the time of the Assyrian invasion of Israel described in the Bible. They were scattered all over, then gathered into a land that, as I said in my last post, sounds nothing like modern-day Israel. The Jews, of course, were scattered as well in AD 70 and later joined the other ten tribes in their new land. (All this is historically and archaeologically provable, by the way.)
In Revelation, it says the 144 thousand were from twelve tribes (Dan being excluded for some reason.) You can not get 144 thousand modern Jewish men out of that! We also read in Revelation that those 144 thousand (along with a great multitude, the stranger among us who believes being one of us) go into the wilderness in order to be kept safe from the things that are happening during the tribulation period. (See Rev.12 and 3 10) This wilderness is in that part of the world where modern-day Israel is. Thus, those saints will be in Jerusalem when Jesus returns, places his feet on the Mount of Olives and sets up his kingdom. That is how we Caucasians (including the great multitude of believing strangers), are going to return to our ancient land.
As to touching the apple of God's eye, let me ask you a question. The West, particularly the United States as well as Canada, has been blessing Israel since 1948. Look at the curses mentioned in Deuteronomy 28, and/or look around you, watch the news, etc. Since 1948, do we have more of all the stuff mentioned in the latter part of that chapter, or less?
Also, was it not around or shortly following 1948 that Alfred Kinsey's ideas became more popular. Was it not sometime after the creation of the state of Israel that all those bands sold their souls for rock and roll and Hollywood ramped up it's war on God?
Who do you think promoted rock and roll? Who do you think is heavily involved in Hollywood? Alistaire Crowley, by the way, got a lot of his ideas from the Qabala.
Therefore, I will criticize unbelieving Jews all I want to. For those who would repent, I pray for them in the name of Jesus. For those believing Jews who are my brothers and sisters, I pray Revelation 3 9 for them in the name of Jesus.
As for Joe Schimmel being a Zionist shill, I wouldn't say he is, but let's be real here. He might get flack from a few cranks, crackpots or otherwise online, but you get far less persecution if you laud the Jews and come out strongly against "anti-Semitism" as he does than you do if you hold a position like mine.

HAS THE CHURCH REPLACED ISRAEL?
The following is a response to this.https://goodfightradio.podbean.com/e/has-the-church-replaced-israel/
First of all, the people who comprise Israel in these modern times are the Anglo-Saxon, Germanic, Scandinavian, Celtic, and kindred people, not, by and large, the people we call Jews today: although, with more of them turning to Christ, there may very well be some of our people among the modern-day Jews.
What I get from Ezekiel 34 is that it is a prophecy to Israel, the northern ten tribes scattered a couple centuries before this was written. Even in Jesus' time, this dispersion was known of (John 7 15.)
Jesus, the shepherd, was going to gather those tribes into "their land", which is also called wilderness in verse 25. One would be advised to read the descriptions of that land found in Micah and Zechariah; doesn't sound a lot like the modern nation of Israel.
In Romans 9-11, Paul also clearly states that not all who are of Israel are Israel, but those who do the will of the Father. Remember, one of God's ultimate objectives throughout His Word is to gather a people who will worship Him.
For further reading on the Anglo-Israel truth, see "Judah's Sceptre and Joseph's Birthright" by R.H. Allen, available online in PDF and also from various ministries.
Side-notes: I would caution my fellow believers in the Anglo-Israel message that, just as our ancestors were cut off as Paul talks about in Romans 9-11, God can still give His message to another people, as indeed He is doing in many parts of the world today, South Korea being a notable example.
Apparently, questioning something related to Jews is anti-Semitic now.
Something truly can not be Judao-Christian. Judaism denies Jesus is the Christ. Also see Galatians 114.
If the root supports the branches and that root consists of the modern-day Jews, then name me all the famous Jewish people who were true theologians, pastors, TV and radio evangelists, missionaries, etc.
Moses wasn't Jewish; he was a Hebrew. Aside from being at least somewhat inaccurate, this is just plain lazy vocabulary.

STEAL AWAY HOME: ONE WOMAN'S EPIC FLIGHT TO FREEDOM AND HER LONG ROAD BACK TO THE SOUTH
By Karolyn Smardz Frost. Toronto: Harper Collins Publishers Ltd., 2017.
One of the best books I've read in a long time!
Piecing together historical and archaeological evidence, Frost tells the true story of Cecelia Jane Reynolds, a black woman born in slavery who escaped to Canada via the Underground Railroad. That would have been a great story in itself, but the author goes on to relate the rest of Reynolds' life, including her years spent in England and her return to Kentucky after the Civil War, to the home of the woman who had once been her mistress.
Every chapter of this book is brimming with historical details that will have you constantly putting down the book to mull these details over. With everything from the conditions of and attitudes toward black people at various times and in various places, to details about what modern towns were like in the nineteenth century and so much more, these little nuggets are by far the most attractive thing about this wonderful book.
Purchase it here. https://www.amazon.ca/Steal-Away-Home-Womans-Freedom/dp/1554682517

A DISCUSSION ABOUT SECULAR MUSIC
The following is a response to this podcast.
This is a pretty ham fisted discussion.
I get what Joe Schimmel is saying in the first part, about his personal convictions on this issue, but he takes far too long to explain it.
There is no way "They Sold Their Souls for Rock and Roll", as good a documentary as it mostly is, could have covered every secular artist ever recorded, or even recorded since the start of the rock and roll era.
Incidentally, Christians invented rock and roll. Check out Sister Rosetta Tharp if you don't believe me.
The word continually in the verse he quotes doesn't mean literally. There are thousands of other things we do besides praising God throughout the day.
Ditto to how singing "Smoke on the Water" edifies. In fact, I would venture to say, depending on the content of the song of course, that if I am playing secular music well, that is honouring God because I am using the talents He has given me to the best of my ability, similar to how a rose glorifies God because it helps reflect Him in Creation.
I couldn't find any q and a or FAQ section on their website.
I would definitely agree Christians shouldn't listen to, and can be effected by, openly satanic music.
As to examples of secular music in the Bible:
Though it has parallels with our walk with Christ, God included the Song of Solomon in His Word, a secular love song that, if it were translated from the original Hebrew, couldn't even be played on the radio.
The dancing when the prodigal son returned. Look up what the psalms originally sounded like on YouTube; not very dancee.
Jesus mentions people playing the flute in the marketplace, the same way there is music in stores these days.
As to there not being secular music in Heaven, let's look at what a lot of secular songs are about:
Love: In Heaven, they neither marry or are given in marriage.
Political or Social Protest: Everything will be perfect.
The Difficulties of Everyday Life: See above.
I get what Joe and Chad are saying, but the way they're saying it could lead to legalistic attitudes in the listeners, which is something neither they or I would want.

THE Q AND A SHOW PART 3 - BAPTISM
The following is a response to this podcast.
Baptism is necessary for salvation. When we repent, we die to ourselves. We are then buried in Christ through baptism as it says in Romans 6 and we come up out of the water new creatures in Christ.
In the original Greek, the phrase in Acts 2 38 "for the remission of sins" means "In order to have your sins remitted", not "because your sins have already been remitted."
Show me one example in Acts where someone was saved without being baptized.
As to the examples of the thief on the cross and the publican in the temple, the new covenant didn't come into effect until after Christ rose from the dead. After all, if He had stayed dead, what significance would His sacrifice have had?
Incidentally, the parable of the pharisee and the publican isn't about how to get saved; it's about self-righteousness versus humility.

WHAT IS THE ORALITY MOVEMENT? BRINGING THE SPOKEN WORD TO THE WORLD
International Orality Network Conference Update
So is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
—Isaiah 55:11
More and more, our eyes are being opened.
Imagine your most beloved Christian storybook, and then imagine learning that recordings of it are being made in hundreds of languages across dozens of countries.
Through God’s family, this dream is becoming a reality.
The past few years have been a time of hard soul searching for us at Talking Book Library. With our hearts and hands open, God has brought into our path godly people who have helped us learn how the Good News of hope is being brought to our world.
It’s been amazing to discover that TBL has an important place in a movement to bring the spoken Word to all nations, including those who are marginalized because of disability. This includes a very small number of charities like us that record Christian audio books for people with visual and print challenges, and other organizations that record audio Bibles, produce playback devices, and promote biblical storytelling.
It’s called the “orality” movement — and TBL is an absolutely irreplaceable part of it.
This October we had the privilege of speaking at the International Orality Network conference in Toronto. There we learned about the amazing things God is doing. Here’s just a sample:
• New DAISY playback devices are being introduced at $20 to $30 by a Christian organization, less than a tenth of the cost of regular accessible devices that have been out of reach for much of the developing world.
• Christian organizations producing unpublished Bible stories in various languages—what if they could be made available to those with visual impairment through our ministry?
• Ministries working with the blind children without access to the abundance of materials that we and others provide. What an opportunity to bless them with Words of Life!
Could TBL’s books also change lives around the world?
Recently, because of an international agreement called the Marrakesh Treaty, our distribution partner called the Centre for Equitable Library Access signed on to a new system run by the Accessible Books Consortium that now gives people around the world access to parts of their collection.
How can you help? First, we ask you to join with us in praying for ways to allow unhindered global access to our books!
Second, help us become sustainable so that our tremendous impact can be felt years into the future. Consider giving a one-time gift of $300, or a monthly gift of $30, to help us produce books that are now more affordable to complete.
This time in our history of one of great potential. Please get in touch with us today.
Humbly yours,
Peter Van Velzen
Chair, Board of Directors
P.S. Thank you for supporting our move to Light on the Hill Community Church. We are still far from our renovation target of $35,000—please don’t forget to give so more funds can be used to produce books!

THE UNINVITED
This movie starts out as a touching drama about a teenage girl, distraught by the death of her mother, returning home to her family and her father's new girlfriend. Then, it turns into a suspenseful thriller about a woman who's not what she appears to be, then ends with a twist, the likes of which is why this movie knocks the spots off anything I've seen in a long time.

RADIO-RELATED STUFF: GIVING CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE
In a radio landscape that is an ever-expanding desert, there is still very occasionally good radio out there. For example, some stuff I heard last weekend:
- Marjory Wildcraft on "Coast to Coast.";
- The new show "Cost of Living" on CBC Radio One;
- Dean Johnson on "The Morgan Show" on WBZ Boston last Saturday night, particularly Tyrone in Chicago's call.

WHY ARE YOUNG ADULTS LEAVING THE CHURCH? - PART TWO
1. Young people are used to being part of things, from comment areas on blogs to live chats during podcasts. They don't want to sit listening to a monologue for 45 minutes, then be dismissed.
2. Most institutional churches are simply irrelevant. They're preaching on the same topics they've been preaching on for years. They don't talk about things like the utter lack of job security, the social media feedback loop, the fact most people now live in virtual reality instead of actual reality, the coming further technological changes that will greatly destroy the semblance of reality we have left, the post-postmodernism of the social justice warriors, how to effectively reach the LGBT community, how to avoid shacking up with housing being as expensive as it is, and probably a whole bunch more topics of which I am unaware.
3. Trying to live by a set of principles (as opposed to having a true relationship with God) didn't work for there parents or their fellow church members so why would they want to continue in "the faith?"
4. Young people simply don't have the time. Nothing is ever just one day. It isn't simply attendance of Sunday service, but you are then obligated to get involved in all the church's extracurricular activities.
5. They realize how fake and hollow all these mega-churches are.
6. Lack of cultivation of a love for God and His Word in the church they attended when they lived with their parents.
7. Naivete of pastors and youth leaders about what the big wide world they've stepped out into is really like.
8. The model is still reminiscent of 150 years ago. Sunday mornings, after we've fed the animals, milked the cows and collected the eggs, we take the buckboard into town to hear one of the few people in the area with post-secondary education spoon-feed us the Word of God because otherwise we'd have no way of understanding what it says.

9. There are so many people in this generation who have mental disorders such that they can't get it together to go to church or couldn't handle the environment while they were there and, in fact, would be detrimental to that setting in some cases. Those in these people's lives realize churches can't don't or won't accomadate people with these afflictions so these mentally healthy people don't want to attend church either.
10. Similarly, there are also many people in this generation who have no idea how to behave in public. Universities are now offering courses in table manners, and the halls of ivy tend to attract the smartest young people with the most going for them! I can't imagine how much worse it is in the other stratas of society. Again, these people wouldn't be able to handle a typical church setup, wouldn't be welcomed or fit in and, of course, would be more of a hindrance than an assett.
GOOD FIGHT MINISTRIES-WHY ARE YOUNG ADULTS LEAVING THE CHURCH?
The following is a response to this video.
As far as Chad's admonition to "go to church" is concerned, the New Testament does not support the church structure we have today. Hebrews 13 17 was never intended to justify an authoritarian, hierarchical, indoctrinating, man-made set of organizations that largely use the Bible as a system or a set of principles to make one acceptable to God as opposed to teaching Christians how to have a relationship with God.
As far as accountability is concerned: Believers are accountable to Christ. If I don't want to face Christ in my prayer closet with the sin I'm involved in, how is going to church supposed to help?
As far as fellowship, there is no true fellowship of the family of God in most so-called churches. Church members talk to the same three people they talk to throughout the week. The young moms hang with the other young moms, the tradesmen with the tradesmen, the schoolteachers with the schoolteachers, etc.
Besides, if a person doesn't fit that church's particular culture they might as well stop attending since they're going to be totally shunned anyway.
In another video, Chad Davidson brings up Hebrews 10 25-31.
First of all, I have no doubt there were then, as there are some now, who feel they don't need any fellowship with other believers whatsoever. Those people are wrong. However, just because a Christian is not attending an institutional church doesn't mean they're going to fall away.
In fact, when I left the local church I'd been attending and started just fellowshipping with other believers four and a half years ago it brought me closer to God.
I started to read the Bible more because I realized I didn't need to be under the authority of a guy who had a piece of paper from a seminary saying he was allowed to write sermons. As a child of God, I have the Holy Spirit and there are more than enough good resources out there by men whom I respect according to Hebrews 13 17 who've put in the scholarly work to help explain the Word to the brothers and sisters who would come after.
I also was no longer heeding the lead of some pastor saying I was to be in such-and-such book of the Bible for the next several weeks so that motivated my personal Bible study, too.
I started praying more because I began to realize more fully what it meant to have a relationship with God. The way two people who have a relationship converse with each other, that's how I began to look at interaction with God. Institutional churches will talk about Christianity being a relationship with God but really you have to get to God through a man with the title pastor (or should that title be changed to Father) bestowed on him by a man-made school called a seminary.
I also found I fellowshipped and was friendlier to other believers because I realized that just because they went to another organizational branch calling itself a church than I did which believed a few different things about God that didn't automatically make them heretics and false Christians. I began to have a greater understanding of the true church of God, the eclesia, the church of my town.
By the way, it is institutional churches that are truly forsaking the assembling together. The church is to be one as Paul said in the first chapter of 1 Corinthians, but we've made it 43 thousand and more. Ultimately, Joe Schimmel, as much valuable truth as he puts forth, is trying to start his own denomination, however aware of this he is. Will we be talking about Schimmelism or the Blessed Hope movement in the future?

SCRIPTURAL REQUIREMENTS FOR BEING A PASTOR
The following is a response to this video.
The early church did not have pastors as we think of them today. Those mentioned in 1 Timothy 3 1 were more like guides, somewhat comparable to the visiting pastors we have today, or when a "pastor" gives counselling.
What we think of when we think of the main role of a pastor (corporate ministry of the Word) is actually called "teaching." Therefore, Joe Schimmel is actually a teacher, not a "Pastor" according to proper interpretation of the New Testament.
Furthermore, these teachers did not stand in pulpits for 45 minutes delivering sermons. See 1 Corinthians 14 if you doubt this.
Thus, this blows the complementarian view of 1 Timothy 2 12-15 out of the water.
When considering this passage, it is helpful to remind ourselves what Ephesus-where Timothy had been sent by Paul-was known for. See the account of Paul's time in Ephesus in Acts.
Here is a well-researched article that sheds more light on these verses.
Also, there was never supposed to be a separate clergy, that is, a class of people differentiated from the rest of the body of Christ by the fact they taught or had pieces of paper from seminaries saying they were allowed to write sermons, author books or hold other offices. This helps to explain one of the reasons pastors have such great falls. We elevate these ordinary people to a role where they're above their brothers and sisters. The pressure becomes so great, Satan tempts these clergymen in their vulnerability and they yield.
Incidentally, deacons were not what we think of as deacons today, either. While they were in church government, their role was more that of a servant, helping the local body of believers in practical ways while the elders or bishops helped the people in spiritual ways. We see clearly from Romans 16 1 Phebe was one of these people, so there goes the false prohibition against female deacons.

52 NORTH PUB & GRILL
52 Front St. N., Campbellford, Ontario.
This restaurant's Facebook page describes their food as "pub fair", but it is really so much more than that.
I and two other people ate their recently. I had grilled pesto chicken on a bun, another person had taco poutine and the third person had their lunch combo of a small bowl of soup, a small salad and a small sandwich.
I know I and at least one of the other people enjoyed their food quite a lot.
The staff were friendly and efficient.
The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting.
There is one minor complaint, though. 52 North has a garage door type thing they leave open on nice days to provide the ambience from the street. This is a good idea, but I would caution them to put up a screen or something over the door as having it open lets in flies and bees.
By the way, for dessert, try the mud fight cake.

THE GOURMET RESTAURANT
10511 Hwy. 7, Carleton Place, Ontario.
While on a bus trip recently I ate at this restaurant and found it a pleasant experience.
The staff were friendly, patient and helpful.
The food was good and the prices were reasonable. Most of the people I was traveling with took advantage of the seniors menu, but I had the regular fish and chips. You got two huge pieces of fish, lots of fries and a significant quantity of actual salad on the side which came with a dressing that was delicious. It only cost 18 dollars with tax. Everyone else was satisfied with their food, too.

RADIO-RELATED STUFF: NEWS FROM THE QUINTE REGION AND BEYOND
A few weeks ago while in a local business I heard a country radio station from Fredericton.
During the last week of August, Ted Bradford was filling in for Rick Kevin on Rock 107 while also doing his mid-day shift on CJBQ.
CKOL's 100.7 transmitter has been missing for weeks now.
Sucks Don Cherry's "Grapeline" isn't returning.
I enjoyed "Just a Minute" on BBC Radio Four Monday. A show where the contestants are the panel. Cool.
Also enjoyed "Paul Sinha's General Knowledge" on Radio Four Tuesday. A unique program indeed.
Sucks about Roger Christian being fired from Star 102.5 Buffalo.

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT HELL, HADES AND "SOUL SLEEP"?
The following is a response to this video.
The notion there was a place separate from Heaven called Abraham's Bosom where the righteous dead went before Jesus' death and resurrection is unnecessary and, in my opinion, false. It's pretty clear from Scripture that Enoch, Moses and Elijah went to Heaven, and I think Hebrews 11 also makes this clear. These Old Testament saints gained entry into the Holy of Holies before the veil was torn because they looked forward to what Christ would do on the cross (and tearing the veil in two) for their salvation.
Luke 16 23, in many translations, says the rich man _lifted _up his eyes, meaning Abraham and Lazarus were in a place above him. Thus, the whole notion of Hades East and West or North and South is also a false, unnecessary notion because the righteous went to Heaven and the wicked went to Hell, just as they do today. The reason the word Hades is used is because the Greeks, Luke being a Greek, had no concept of a wonderful place called Heaven and a terrible place called Hell. There was only the underworld, with some nice places and a bad place, but mostly an undefined middle area where those who were neither exceptionally bad or very good people went.
As for 1 Peter 3 19 and the spirits in prison, that link should clear things up, but I'll explain it a little more simply. Peter is saying that, just as the spirit of God raised Christ from the dead after he had been unjustly executed, so also that same spirit was in Noah when he preached to the disobedient people of his day. The souls of those disobedient people are now imprisoned in Hell because they did not listen: Noah and his family being the only ones who were saved from the flood.
It would be like if I said, "In 1984 I worked on a fundraiser with John Smith who is in the nursing home." I am using the phrase "in the nursing home" to refer to John Smith as he currently is, not as he was in 1984.
Speaking of turns of phrase, the doctrine of soul sleep mainly comes from several verses in the Bible which refer to dying as falling asleep. However, fell asleep was simply a Hebrew idiom for died. It would be like if, a thousand years from now, someone came across a book from the twenty-first century that contained the phrase "pushing up daisies", then began stating as a fact, based on this phrase in that book, that all people in the twenty-first century were buried in fields of daisies.

TALKING BOOK LIBRARY MOVING TO RICHMOND HILL
I will remember the deeds of the LORD;
yes, I will remember your wonders of old.
I will ponder all your work,
and meditate on your mighty deeds.
Psalm 77:11-12 (ESV)
In May 2017, we had to search for a new home, unsure whether our 30-year ministry could continue. We were fortunate that Springvale Church welcomed us in. We were unsure of where to find the additional funds needed to operate, and we reached out to you for help. And you responded with generosity. Today, we want to share another update with you. This summer we will be moving to Light on the Hill Community Church in Richmond Hill. With more room and a longer lease, this space at Yonge Street and Stouffville Road allows us to focus on building our ministry in the long term to the visually impaired and print disabled.
Why is this such an important step? We remind ourselves that those in the Body of Christ who are “least” in the Kingdom of God are the greatest (Luke 9:48)! Around the world, our brothers and sisters who have difficulty reading God’s words of life must not be neglected. We need your encouragement to carry us on this important journey!
As Abram obeyed God and journeyed from Ur to Haran to Canaan, he held on to the promise of the Promised Land and learned to be faithful even though he did not know where he was going (Hebrews 11:8). With such a great calling before us, we must remember God’s faithfulness to us in the past, and learn to trust that He has sovereign plans for us.
How can you help?
First, we ask that you join us in prayers. Please pray with thanksgiving for what God and Springvale had done for us in the past, that the move will be smooth, that we can settle in quickly so as not to hinder our ministry.
Second, we have financial needs for this relocation. The cost for the move is estimated to be around $35,000 and it includes moving costs, renovations, two new booths, and IT setup.
As we had reached out to the community to partner with us on our move two years ago, we are asking again for your support. As we look upon God’s faithfulness, we are confident that he will act again as before for His glory.
Humbly yours,
Peter Van Velzen

IMPROVISED BATTERY TESTER
Last week I decided to sort through some nine volt batteries I had lying around to see if they were still good. However, I could not locate my battery tester. While at a loss as to what to do for a bit, I then remembered I had an old walkie-talkie I'd received as a Christmas present thirty years ago still kicking around. I got out the walkie-talkie and used that to test the batteries. I would insert the battery, and if the walkie-talkie worked, I knew the battery was good. Of course, if the walkie-talkie didn't work, I knew the battery was dead.
THE ULTIMATE CAUSE OF THE EL PASO AND DAYTON MASS SHOOTINGS
Not since Columbine, it seems, have I heard more varied speculation about the causes of the shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio this past Saturday.
When one boils it all down, however, this song explains the ultimate reason for this and many of the other things we see going on in the Western world these days.

HEBREWS
To open Scripture links in a new window, press Shift Enter. Any links that automatically open in a new window will have a star in front of them.
1 1-3: Here this, all you Seventh-day Adventists, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons, and whoever else thinks Jesus isn’t God, the second in the trinity, including Muslims who think He was just a prophet.
1 1-3: Here this, all you Seventh-day Adventists, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons, and whoever else thinks Jesus isn’t God, the second in the trinity, including Muslims who think He was just a prophet.
Here these verses, also, those who for
instance say Jesus was just one of many avatars of God. Hear it all you new
agers who think many Jesuses and other deities have appeared to men since Jesus
was on Earth.
Also, this passage isn't teaching a cessationist view that God would no longer speak to man. We know this because this letter was written thirty years before the Book of Revelation. Rather, this passage is meant to guard against, as stated above, those who claim they have been spoken to by God a message that actually contradicts the Bible. God still gives people personal guidance and He still gives prophecies and tongues to His people.
v3: I want to focus on the phrase "and upholding all things by
the word of His power."
The main thing these
evolutionists can't figure out is, what, at a basic level, holds the universe
together? This phrase in this verse tells us that God keeps things together,
literally.
* 1 4-14: Here this, all you Seventh-day Adventists and Jehovah’s Witnesses who believe Michael the archangel is also Jesus.
Here this also all you so-called
Christians who worship or give undue attention to angels.
Here this also all you new agers who
worship and pray to angels.
Here this also all you ordinary people,
who collect angels, wear and give others angel pins and who even get angel
tattoos.
Continue to heed God’s words, all the
groups mentioned above.
V4: Miracles still confirm the Word today.
God’s Word is living and active. If the miracles ceased after the Bible was
completed, then many things in the Bible become stuff that happened to people
long ago, thus rendering many passages of the Bible irrelevant and
dead, thus rendering the whole Bible dead according to the uniformity of the
Bible which the Bible itself testifies to. (“All Scripture is inspired by God…”
2 6-8: Hear this, all you who worship man,
who have made idols out of professional athletes, pop stars, those who are
famous for being famous, actors and actresses, preachers (both famous and not),
and even those who have made idols out of friends, family members, teachers,
bosses, coaches, and even spouses and children. Rather, look to the One
discussed in verse 9.
V14-15: Take comfort, be encouraged and
draw strength from these verses, all Christians who are bound with fears and
phobias.
v18: In the wilderness, Christ was tempted in the three areas in which Satan tempts people: the lust of the flesh; the lust of the eye and the pride of life.
v18: In the wilderness, Christ was tempted in the three areas in which Satan tempts people: the lust of the flesh; the lust of the eye and the pride of life.
Hear this, those of the Jewish people who are sincerely seeking to
follow God.
v6: It is not enough for a Christian to have "believed at one
time." We have to walk with Christ and endure to the end of our earthly
lives. We may stumble, but we have to keep running the race.
Hebrews 4
Hebrews 4
Pay attention to this chapter, especially
verse 10, all you Christians who are trying to earn your way to Heaven and who
view God as harsh and looking to kick you out of His kingdom if you slip up in
the least. The good works we do flow out of our faith in Him.
Hebrews 4 1-11: The early church fathers taught the Six Day
Theory: God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh, likewise,
God created the world 4 thousand years before Christ, and, two millennia after
the birth of Christ, that is, after a total of 6 thousand years, Christ will
return to rule and reign for a thousand years as 1 Peter says. This is the key
to understanding the elapse of time itself.
Hebrews 5
Hear this, all you Catholics, Eastern
Orthodox and Coptic Christians.
Laying on of hands refers to healing.
The doctrines mentioned in verses 1 and 2
were considered the basics in the early church. Nowadays, certain Christians,
such as many Baptists as well as those from other denominations, don’t even
believe in baptism for the remission of sins or healing.
Hebrews 6 4-8: It is argued that the Greek
word translated “fallen away” actually means “fallen aside.” Thus, Christians
can never lose their salvation: they just won’t run the race nearly as well as
they could have.
While I won’t argue there are those believers
who could be described as fallen aside, there have also been believers who have
fallen away. To be clear, you indeed can’t lose your salvation: you take
yourself out of salvation. (See Charles Templeton and the guy in “Into the
Wild” who renounced his faith after learning of Chris McCandless’s death.)
Also, much of the time fallen aside and
fallen away is the same difference. If you’ve fallen aside, you will eventually,
of your own will, give up your faith in God entirely, unless you mend your ways
and come to repentance before that happens of course.
Hebrews 6 10-13: Hear this, all you
Christians who think being a Christian involves doing nothing for God. Additionally,
read 2 Corinthians.
Here this, all you in the United Church of
Canada who don’t think Jesus actually rose from the dead. He died on the cross,
but this chapter says He lives today as our high priest. Figure that one out.
(See also 13 20.)
Also hear this all who believe along the
lines of what was taught in “The Da Vincy Code.”
Hear this, all you who think Christianity
is about going to a meeting at a building every week.
Hear this also all you Judaizers,
especially those of you who perform animal sacrifices. May God grant you
repentance, because doing that sounds almost this close to blasphemy of the
Holy Spirit to me.
Hear this, all you Catholics, Eastern
Orthodox, Lutherans, and anyone else who believes in transubstantiation.
Be comforted, strengthened, emboldened,
and encouraged, all you God’s people who are bound by the guilt of past and
present sin.
V25: The modern-day churches are forsaking
the assembling together. Christians all worship the same Lord, but they’ve
separated themselves off into tens of thousands of different denominations and
churches.
V26-31: For an explanation of these
verses, see my commentary on the similar passage in chapter 6 above.
V32-34: Hear this, any of you Christians
who think that, if fellow Christians are suffering, it’s all down to God
punishing them for sin.
* Hebrews 11
Hebrews 11 1: Do you have faith you are able to go to the store and purchase a chocolate bar? No you don’t because with your natural senses you can see the chocolate bar on the shelf, see the price tag, count the change in your wallet, do the math, bring the chocolate bar to the counter and pay for it. The definition of faith here is the opposite of that.
V3: Hear this, all you Christians who
believe in evolution.
V4: Hear this, all you pagans.
V6: Here this, you people who believe you
should get into Heaven because you are a good person, not that bad a person, or
because you’ve done your best to live a good life.
V17-19: Here this, Seth McFarlane and all
you other unbelievers who mock and scoff at the story of Abraham offering up
Isaac.
There are a few different interpretations of Hebrews 12 1. Some
say the Old Testament figures and saints can see us from Heaven and are
cheering us on. I think this is likely. Another interpretation is that since we
have all these wonderful examples of Biblical heroes we should live up to them
because they were so cool. This has some merit but it is not an interpretation
that I put first and foremost. Still others say that since we have all the examples
of people who have had faith in God, we need to learn from their examples and
apply it to our lives. They didn't let adversity make them fall away and we
shouldn't either. I think this is a very good interpretation.
For instance, we have the example of somebody like Moses. Moses
could have had all the drunken parties and women and become puffed up with
prideful accolades. He possibly could have been the most important man in the
world. If I were him, I would have thought, "Gee, my ancestor Joseph was the
second most important person in the world, being Pharaoh's Prime Minister and
Egypt being the world empire at the time. I'm an heir to the Egyptian throne
through adoption by Pharaoh's daughter. It would be quite something for me to
become the ruler of the world. I mean, there would be ways to glorify and
honour God through doing so, right. I mean, my people are one thing, but the
entire world, and everything that comes with it, is the entire world,
right?"
Instead, Moses forsook all that sinful life to rescue his people.
Incidentally, Moses could have ruled the world, but instead he codified the set
of laws which should govern the world.
Therefore, since we have the example of someone like Moses who by
faith forsook sin and obeyed God, doing such great things for Him, we shouldn't
let sin rule in our lives. It's quite easy to say in the split seconds of the
moment, "I don't care about eternity. I'll do this thing or look at this
thing or think this thought anyway." "I know I should get serious
about this sin, but there are just these things in my past and ha ha it just
seems like something I can never seem to beat. Oh well, ho hum."
This should not be our attitude. We need to walk by faith in these
matters.
Hebrews 12 2: Hear this, Moslems who think someone else
substituted for Jesus on the cross.
Hebrews 12 8: When we do something wrong, even if we're not
Christians, we feel guilty. Yet there is a group of people in the world who do
not have this reaction. They have no conscience. They are termed "bastards"
in this verse. (Hence the reason I use that word on this blog.)
Hebrews 13 4: In this verse we have the rejection of three
prominent worldly ideas.
First, the idea that marriage is an outdated and silly
institution. In fact, marriage is an honourable thing.
By the way, pay attention to the phrase “in all”, all you Catholics
who think clergy should be unmarried.
Second, the idea that sex, even in its proper context, is a dirty,
shameful thing.
Third, the idea that all sex, even sex for money and extramarital
sex is perfectly fine and even beneficial.
Hebrews 13 7: The elders in the early church were more like guides
and not the separate class of clergy we have in the church today.
Don’t get me wrong: I have great respect for the men who have
studied Greek and Hebrew at seminary and provide good teaching and interpretation
of the Word of God. However, I will not align myself with any particular church
or denomination to be spoon-fed the Bible by someone who has more authority placed
in him by his people than he ought to.
Hebrews 13 8: I'm glad God doesn't change. That was the thing with
the gods of Greek mythology (and other religions): they're capricious. They
might say they'll do something for somebody one minute, then get annoyed about
something and flood that person's village.
Hebrews 13 9: Hear this all you Seventh-day Adventists and
other Christians who teach the food laws are still in effect.
Hebrews 9 15: Hear this, all you so-called Christians who
think all you have to do is go to church on Sunday and that’s it.
Hebrews 13 17: Again, the elders in the early church were
more like guides. They didn’t exactly “rule over” the other believers in our
modern sense of the word. They weren’t the ego-tripping, endoctrinating, cults
of personality we have for ministers today.

DOWNSIZE THIS!
By Michael Moore. New York: Crown, 1996.
Let’s All Hop in a
Ryder Truck
It is well worth looking into the truth about the Oklahoma
City bombing, and the evidence for the FBI’s involvement therein.
Would Pat Buchanan
Take a Cheque From Satan?
Watch
“The Secret Right Volume 1” for information on an organization Pat Buchanan is
a part of, the Counsel for National Policy.
“Don’t Vote-It Only
Encourages Them”
The kind of politicians we have to vote for is ultimately
determined by the spiritual condition of the people who make up the nation.
Democrat? Republican?
Can You Tell the Difference?
This is the only truly good chapter in the book.
Not on the Mayflower? Then Leave!
First of all, most immigrants in the past have come to the
United States (and Canada) legally.
Also, up through the Ellis Island era, immigrants were
coming to supply workers the country didn’t have. The immigrants before them
were actually settlers, people who had come to literally build the young
country.
Nowadays, we have immigrants (certainly not all of them, but
a lot) who come to North America to take advantage of social programs.
They also undercut the job market. Americans would do the
jobs leftists claim they don’t want to do, but for proper wages and fair working
hours.
Hey, Michael Moore, how about encouraging the Hollywood
types you hang out with to hire people from the poorer areas of America to come
work as the maids and gardeners to said rich Hollywood leftists?
Incidentally, it’s interesting he mentions Martina
Navratilova, who, 23 years later, is now regarded by the left as an enemy for
her stance on transgender athletes.
In fact, since it will increase the hit count, I will now
list all the immigrants in the list at the end of this chapter who have died
since the publication of “Downsize This!”
Most of these people probably immigrated to the U.S.
legally, including coming over on visas and later taking out citizenship. Hardly
the same thing as a hoard of Central Americans barging across the border.
The following people from the list are dead:
Clive Barnes;
Saul Bellow;
Liz Claiborne;
Peter Jennings;
Mike Nichols;
I.
M. Pei;
General John Shalikashvili;
Elizabeth Taylor;
Alex Trotman;
Elie Wiesel;
Billy Wilder
It is also worth noting that,
while not an immigrant, Ross Perot died while I was reading this book.
Big
Welfare Mamas
I actually quite agree the issue
of corporate welfare is a big problem. However, someone has to provide some
objectivity to this thing.
Daniel M. Tellep: Did Lockheed pay
back the $250 million federal emergency loan?
Firings often occur when mergers
take place because two companies that were formerly each doing the same thing
have now become one company, thus you now have redundancy.
What about the other $27 million
of the federal government payment?
One could argue a lot of the
“welfare payments” listed amounted to smart political moves as Lockheed Martin
does so much business with the U.S. Department of Defense.
Dwayne O. Andreas: Dwayne O.
Andreas has died since this book was written.
Helmut Werner: It could be argued
Alabama’s incentives to Mercedes-Benz were necessary because of the economic
benefits of the factory being built there. Probably the reason Alabama was
facing across-the-board budget cuts was because they’ve been screwed over by
the federal government, which has been happening ever since Reconstruction.
Incidentally, Helmut Werner has
died since this book was written.
Edward A. Brennan: Personally, I
think Sears would have been better to move out of Illinois.
Since the writing of this book,
Edward A. Brennan has died.
Art Modell: Read
“The Fix is In” by Brian Tuohy to find out how little owners care about the
cities their teams are currently located, as well as a whole lot more
interesting stuff.
Like all but one of the other
welfare mamas profiled in this chapter, Art Modell died after this book was
written.
Let’s Dump on Orange
County
I wonder how many members of a certain tribe were
responsible for Orange County going bankrupt?
How to Conduct the Rodney King
Commemorative Riot
Moore’s characterization of white men-the same kinds of
people he says he cares about and is trying to help is exactly the kind of
attitude that got Trump elected in the first place.
Incidentally, since “Downsize This!” was written, Rodney
King has gone on to whatever he has gone on to.
Pagan Babies
Hey, Michael, along with encouraging Hollywood stars and
executives to adopt poor, white Americans as workers for good wages and fair
hours, how about helping to establish colleges in the poor parts of the country
to retrain unemployed Americans to do the jobs the immigrants are currently
doing.
Germany Still Hasn’t
Paid for Its Sins-And I Intend to Collect
This fat hypocrite admits this kind of thinking after World
War I was what led up to the Second, but he wants to go ahead with it anyway.
After all, all money has to come from somewhere.
So You Want to Kill
the President!
I’m sure there are plenty of grounds for jailing you and
your fellow lefties for things you’ve said about conservatives.
Show Trials I’d Like
to See
“The People versus Saturday Night Live”: Has “Saturday Night
Live” ever actually been truly good, even in the era of the Not Ready For Prime
Time Players?
“The People versus Senator Strom Thurmond”: I’d like to see
“The People versus All The Propagandists Who Said Homosexuality Was Fine And
Just An Alternative Lifestyle.” The defendants would be people like Michael
Moore and his cronies, as well as the heads of the leading lgbt organizations
(who, by the way, I’m told, are all members of a certain tribe), as well as
several past and present politicians from governments all over the world. The
plaintiffs would be loved ones of homosexuals who have committed suicide, died
of alcoholism and drug addiction, been murdered by abusive partners, or who’ve
died of AIDS and other such diseases, and of homosexuals who have or are
currently experiencing these consequences of being told this by the defendants
and thus acting on their attractions to other men or women.
Depending on how pathetic the defendants sounded, they may
or may not get to finish speaking up for themselves before they were literally
stoned to death in public by the plaintifs.
Incidentally, since “Downsize This!” was published, Strom
Thurmond has gone for his dirt nap.
If Clinton Had Balls
Since everyone is thinking it anyway, I’m going to make the
obvious joke: Ever since the release of the Starr report, we know he does.
Honestly, when a guy is as rotted out with scandal as “Slick
Willie” and is even alleged to have raped women and to have fathered a son by a
black prostitute he refuses to acknowledge, could we not just treat this guy
like those homosexual propagandists I mentioned above? (Read Chris Anderson’s
“Bill and Hillary: the marriage” for more on this topic.
Steve Forbes Was an
Alien
There are Aliens Among Us. Order the series from Scriptures
For America if you don’t believe me.
Corporate Crooks
Trading Cards
William S. Stavropoulos: If a certain tribe, through their
media, didn’t tell women they had to look a certain way in order to conform to
the standard of beauty that tribe put forth to them, than far fewer women would
have been harmed by silicone breast implants.
David H. Hoag: Cleveland probably felt obligated to help LTV
in 1986 because they were such a large employer. It could be argued that by
1993, market and/or other conditions had changed making it necessary for LTV to
do what it did then. A corporation doesn’t technically owe any abstract thing,
such as gratitude, to anyone.
David H. Hoag is another person who has begun pushing up
daisies since this book was written.
Phil Knight: It could be argued that outsourcing work to the
factory contracted to make shoes for Nike has helped boost the living standards
of those in developing countries.
It could also be argued that the costly endorsements of
people like Michael Jordan are necisary for Nike to be Nike-though I bet they
wish Colin Kaepernick wasn’t involved in their advertising anymore.
Ralph S. Larsen: This man also got dead since 1996.
Why are Union Leaders
So F***ing Stupid?
I would like to take this opportunity to complain about some
public unions.
In the spring of 1997, the Ontario Public Service Employees
Union (OPSEU) went on strike, thus meaning students of the W. Ross Macdonald
School for the Blind couldn’t attend till it was over.
In 2002, OPSEU went on strike again.
In the fall of 1997, the public school teachers in Ontario
went on strike and the teachers in the Separate school board (which included
WRMS as well as the schools for the deaf in Ontario) threatened to go on
strike, it being averted at the last minute.
In the spring of 1999, the Separate schoolteachers
threatened to strike again, taking work to rule action. The strike was averted
just before the beginning of the 1999/2000 school year.
During the 2012/2013 school year, the public school teachers
staged walk-outs and worked to rule.
In the winter of 2004, Ontario’s college teachers threatened
to go on strike, it being averted.
In 2006, the college teachers did go on strike and did the
same thing just a couple years ago.
Parents do not send their kids to school, and students do
not pay good money to attend college or university, so you unions can threaten
to walk off the job and pull various other shananigans all the time.
Balance the Budget?
Balance My Checkbook!
Read Deuteronomy 28 for greater insight into why are nation

Mike’s Penal Systems,
Inc.
It would appear
the U.S. is now doing away with private prisons.
Mandate? What
Mandate?
Too bad Michael Moore’s reaction to the Republicans taking
the house in 1994 wasn’t fatal.
“Our country was going to be dismantled by these wide-eyed
zealots.”
And you aren’t a zealot?
“So you could say that just one person brought on the entire
mean-spirited Engler revolution in Michigan.”
Takes one to know one.
We had 78 percent voter turn-out in the last Canadian
federal election and look who we got in office as a result.
My Forbidden Love for
Hillary
Telling women they should like Hillary Clinton because they
should be in favour of what she is in favour sounds pretty sexist to me.
A Sperm’s Right to Life
Now we come to another one of Moore’s frequent specious arguments.
Neither a sperm nor an egg by themselves can make a human
being. Only when the sperm and egg have joined and adhered to the wall of the
uterus can this happen. From that point on, what we have, whether in the
embryonic or fetal stage, is a human being in its developmental stages.
Capital punishment for all women who have abortions. Then
jerkwads like Moore would accuse us Christians of being hypocritical and not
showing mercy.
Rather than execute mothers who’ve had abortions, I
personally think we should execute propagandists like Michael Moore and those
at the head of the abortion movement who deceive women into thinking having an
abortion is not all that much more of an invasive or difficult procedure than
having a wart removed. Afterwords, when the women are bleeding copiously or
having nightmares or on antidepressants or can’t go to their dentist because the
drill reminds them of the vacuum used to abort the baby, they then know the
truth.
I would definitely support executing those people, as well
as those who perform abortions knowing all the potential side effects it has.
Actually, abortion is an antiwoman practice that seeks to
control women and keep them in their place. Watch “The
Feminist Case Against Abortion” for more on this.
Let’s Pick a New
Enemy!
“Canadian Bacon” is an awesome movie, so Michael Moore has
at least done one good thing in his life.
Since this book was written, the U.S. has invaded Libya
(under the presidency of a black democrat and with Hillary Clinton as secretary
of state) and Muammar Khaddafi has been murdered as a result.
The U.s. and Canada may be headed toward some kind of hot or
cold conflict with China, what with all this trade war and other
business-related stuff.
The Zionist crypto-Jew
Donald Trump may take the States to war against Iran.
Iraq. “Done that.” Well, 1996 Michael Moore, you guys did it
again, twice if you count the fight against ISIS as a separate conflict, the
latter of which finally got Canada to send some troops over there which you
Americans had been wanting us to do since 2002.
North Korea: Depends what minute it is.
Since the putting forth of this book, Kim Il Sung’s son was
chosen as leader, died (possibly as a result of being murdered) and was
replaced by Kim’s grandson.
Switzerland: Nah, too many guns. There’s a reason why
they’ve always remained neutral.
Burkina Faso: You never know. Seems like there’s a new war
or a rumour of one every day in the second decade of the twenty-first century.
Those Keystone Cubans
Read “I Will Die Free” by
Noble Alexander to learn just what a truly horrible person Fidel Castro was.
Since Moore spewed out this publication, Fidel Castro has
been given the divine death penalty.
What America Needs is
a Makeover
“Ever since I can
remember, the United States has not been a very popular country. Take a poll,
from Zimbabwe to Uruguay, and for some unexplained reason you’ll find that
other people just hate our guts.”
Which I guess is why
so many people from other countries are currently streaming across the U.S.’s
southern border, eh Mike? Or it could just be the social programs.

Skip the

I think Willis Carto of Liberty Lobby should have been

Harassing Gays for Extra
Credit
I seriously think Westboro Baptist Church is actually a
front for the LGBT movement and was planted to make those who are against
homosexuality look bad.
It would be cool if high school students could get extra
credit, community service hours or co-op placements working at a repairative
therapy clinic; a place that lovingly reaches out to the lgbt community and
helps deliver them from the terrible deathstyle of homosexuality.
