Ed Bolton, the talented musician and voice actor who recreated the lost Amos 'n' Andy episodes, died in November at the age of 83.
Shortly after I discovered WBCQ, I tuned into "Uncle Ed's Musical Memories." My Mom had possession of my great-aunt's Victrola and when I was a kid we would listen to the recordss sometimes. Uncle Ed rekindled my love of the music of the twenties.
I also enjoyed the Amos 'n' Andy re-creations but didn't tune into them as much as "Musical Memories" because of course it was serialized and I couldn't tune in every night. However, "Amos 'n' Andy" was quite interesting as well.
I also got a kick out of all the politically correct people getting their shorts in a twist over them.
Slightly more information about Ed Bolton can be found on WBCQ's website.
