I was surprised how much I liked this movie.
The scene with Espen talking about how she doesn't want her mom to disappear was particularly poignant.
As for certain of the bodily function stuff, it was simply the reality of life: menstruation in teenage girls, wiping little girls after a pee, the fact that "kids need to crap", etc.
I also appreciated how each of the children's problems were dealt with individually.
Drew Barrymore made an excellent foil for everyone else, which was the point.
